Yeah, it's a tough fight. Especially the one in the cavern under the hut, but even later on also when you are on a higher level. Lob a few moondust bombs and try and finish him quick. They say use Igni but I found that the Aard sign was the best one to use. Stun the bugger then get in close for a few slashes. And don't roll but dodge.

But theres those mini-wolves as well. I should level up then try again.

Try and draw those out and back towards the entrance and use Igni on them before slashing them up.

I tried at first when I was on level 3 I think, thought eff this for a laugh, went away and did some more quests before coming back at level 7 and fought it for ages before I beat it.

I found with a lot of these monsters is that if you roll away far enough they will leave you alone. So go in, do some damage, roll far away and then heal up. Rinse and repeat.

The werewolves regenerate so quick though. I'm remembering there is a bomb you can use which stops the health regenerating for a period. Can't remember it's name just now though I used it on a werewolf later and it made it (a tiny little bit) easier.

EDIT: Dumb question. Never mind. Apparently any bomb with silver in as an ingredient will work. Grapeshot probably the one most players will have.

I'd really like to replay this wonderful game, but two months after finishing it I'm not quite sure enough time has passed for me to enjoy it again properly. I don't want to burn myself out on the game and I was already getting awfully close to that when I finished it.

Am hoping there will be a PC Hi Res pack made available somewhere down the line, that's what I am holding out for.
 
New game plus mode is out for xbox, not sure when the other platforms will be getting it though. Waiting on the pc one. :D

I'm giving the game a break until the mods scene hits its stride on PC. Can't wait. It's going to be epic.
