IF Ronaldo's free kick went in... IF Park followed up and put away the fumble from the free kick... IF park was a few cm taller united would have had 2 goals.... You seriously sounding bitter maybe cos you felt that Barca was really lucky to be in the final or something.

There was no IF, barca destroyed manu last night.

Park never got his follow up because he got blocked, ronaldo's free kick never went in becuase valdes blocked it.You seeing a patern here?
It was Barca who stopped any manu attack not luck or the post.

More to the point manu were lucky that barca were not at full strength as yesterdays hiding would have been a lot worse.

Not necessary - maybe the Full strength team would have performed differently to the team that DID/HAD perform...

This thread is the very reason I don't support any football team. Each fanbooi tries to piss further than the next, and at any point in time, some end up pissing into the breeze. This time around it is MU's turn.

Pyol would have moved into his correct defensive position (making the barca defense far stronger than it was lastnight)

Alves spends half the game in the attacking half of the field, linking up with messi for some amazing goals.

Yaya would have moved into mid-field (please see his last la liga goal to see the threat he causes)

Márquez has always played an important role in bringing the ball out of defense and back into an attacking position.

Had puyol played in Pique's position and Pique played in Marquez's position you have to ask the question would pique have done well? Other option would have been Pique wouldn't have featured at all... so no pique to defend like a king...

Had Alvez played on the right he would have as you said spent half the time up front leaving Rooney/Ronaldo to romp around...

That is the full 11 that has scored 104 goals.Alves plays as an attacking defender, pyol covers for him when he ventures up field.Lol pyol did such a good job on rooney that he swapped sides the second half lol.

Alves though is so fast (probably one of the fastest in world football) that his back in his position for any any counter-attack.


Xavi and iniesta are not defenders, like i said Marquez brings it out of defense .
Not the english way by passing a long ball to your defender but actually getting into the midfield and feeding xavi/iniesta.
 
I have no doubt in my mind that id Alves, Abidal and Marquez played the score line would have been much worse for United.

We played Puyol at right back!!! Yaya (a midfielder) in defence. That is a make shift defence at its best.
 
My head is reeling from all the if's.

If Terry hadn't missed his penalty Chelsea would've won the CL.
If Chelsea had had one penalty given Barca wouldn't be in the final.
If AC Milan hadn't become complacent they might have won the CL in 2005.
If Zidane didn't head butt Materazzi France might've won the World Cup
If Pep hadn't been Barca coach they might've had a terrible season
If AF was never Man United coach they might be in second league

There is nothing lucky about your defence being too strong for manu to break down.

It was not a goal post/ref decision etc that stopped manu from scoring it was our "make-shift" defence.
