The Xperia X1 Thread

you could always take the touch pro, they practically twins...

Touch Pro - R8500 but it's R529/m on Anytime350 or R4299 pay-in
Xperia X1 - R10500 but it's R459/m on Anytime350 or R2599 pay-in

So with the Xperia you actually get a much more expensive phone for cheaper with bigger screen, more RAM and better battery.

PS. And there is no stock of the Touch PRO either.

Do you think we'll have a choice between black & silver?

Well I have received my phone and am so far thrilled. Device is as responsive as you could want from such a feature packed phone (something I was very concerned about). The Fish have still got me absolutely enthralled and setting the phone up was an absolute breeze.

I played around with the phone for approximately 2 hours (video demo's, wifi connections, setting up, etc) and the battery life still reads as full to my amazement, It was plugged into the pc for about 45 mins so call it about 1 hr 15 mins of battery only use (still quite impressive assuming the battery metre is accurate). Have made voice calls and find the quality more than acceptable, although the speakerphone could have been a little louder. Video quality on the device is absolutely stunning, but once again volume is not so great.

So all in all i am very happy with my "purchase" and IMO the only improvement you could possibly make to this phone, in terms of hardware, is an increase in volume from the onboard speaker.

so /me = :) :) :)

And where are you from?

rtz, What's the GPS software like? How long do you have to trial? Would you consider paying the licence, or getting another app?

S-E mentions it on their site - although it could just be an offer from Wayfinder, as I've read on other sites.

Well here is a quick Q that you may just know the answer to.

Any idea how i can have my sms's routed to my pc when i have the phone connected via USB and also be able to send from my pc. This has been a sorely missed feature since i have become an SE user.
