The Xperia X1 Thread

uhm, the gps software is wayfinder and if i remember correctly it is about a year free, could be wrong. I haven't even looked at it and to be honest most likely won't as i don't use gps really. Sorry man

Isn't there some kind of PC Suite software that comes with the Xperia?? With my E90 connected to the PC I can receive and send SMS and MMS from my PC.
 
hmmm, it doesn't seem to be pre installed (program itself) so no way for me to check. It is definately on the disc though, i am just reluctant to install it ;)
 
by the way... for interest sakes. The phones from MTN come with a free 8GB mini SD card already installed in the slot. Just another bonus ;)
 
the sync program used is different for vista, Called Windows Mobile Device Centre and has very little functionality. Perhaps i am going mad, but i can't seem to find any way to send and receive sms messages via my pc while the phone is connected. in fact i can't even see a way of backing up my sms messages.
 
same have it all ready and raring to go... getting mine in cape town from Kenilworth MTN connect store
 
they phoned me today and said contract is approved and phone is ready for pick up... apparently canal walk MTN has stock now as well.
 
Then I will have to go there tomorrow. My name is on backorder at 4 service centres. 2 inside of Canalwalk, 1 outside Canalwalk and at Cape Gate centre. I only deal with the service centres. Everything quick and easy.
 
They are a MTN connect store so good chance they will have a couple at least but as long as i get my one 2mow... i will be super stoked!!
Give them a shout 2mow and hopefully you can come right and get your hands on one!!

Same here, but have to wait another 10 days for mine to be delivered, squeezed one out of iTalk yesterday,even though they dont offer the phone yet in their dec/jan offerings ( Really didnt want to change service provider )

So yea..twitching in chair, foaming in mouth commenses till i hold the bugger in me hands
 
Today I'm on a real mission to get my Xperia. If Kenilworth has got stock then some of the service centres should also have. If anyone knows anything about stock somewhere in Cape Town please let us know.
