Things that irritate you - Part 4

Entitlement, that is it, there are people who just assume they are entitled to whatever they want.
I don't know about other areas but it's become a general norm now whether taxi, bus, car etc, to just stop in the middle of the freakin road to drop-off/pick-up passengers even though there's plenty of parking space on either side to pull up.

If they pull up, then they have to wait to rejoin traffic, so its more efficient to just stop in the road.

That is the norm yes, the other one is pedestrians just stepping into traffic, no looking to make sure there aren't cars, just stepping in.

Where I live
Took months to get rid of a howling / barking dog next door
School next door has drum sessions 5-7pm
Town hall has music events every weekend
Every month the municipal workers use their leaf blowers
Renovations in the complex during the year
Now they're busy tarring the road

I still maintain pedestrians are the dumbest creatures on earth  I had one of them step out on in me in the early 00's while I was on a training ride, I hit him with my left shoulder and he took a headbutt from my helmet.

Oh I am with you, there is no logic in them at all. The other day I had to try swerve around a pedestrian who just stepped off a kerb in the middle of the road and started walking, looking the opposite direction, I almost skimmed him with my mirror it was so close.

Neighbours... I've never, ever, in all of my grown-up life, ever had a good neighbour, anywhere.
Yeah now that I think about it, as a kid I was friends with the neighbours kids and it was all good but as an adult it's just people you have to tolerate.

Useless waitresses - HTF they get the job in the first place leaves one wondering about the intelligence of the person who hires them.

Take last night: I order a toasted snack and two coffees, one with 3 sugars and a little milk and the other no sugar, just milk. Coffee to be served with snack. A simple, straightforward order.

I received my snack and get asked where my coffee is - I rep[eat my request.
She arrives with my coffee.
I ask does it have 3 sugars.
She confirms.
I ask where my other coffee is.
I repeat that it needs no sugar, only milk. Hot milk.
She brings me a mug of hot milk!
I lose my **** and explain agian.very. slowly.
She brings me a mug of black coffee!
By this time I am furious as I had finished my meal by then, yet the wife was still waiting for her coffee!
The the bitch tells the manager that she did exactly as I asked!

EE/AA for the win. NOT!

Mugg and Bean?

Nope. But you could go to any restaurant/eatery here and you'll likely find similar.

Asking because I had a similar experience at M&B Cresta yesterday. Late afternoon so the place was deserted.

Most revolting snack of a single thin layer of ham, something that was supposed to be salami but looked like pale pink sausage  with mayonnaise and peppers on a dry baguette. Waiter virtually threw the stuff in my general direction and disappeared for 40 minutes. Suddenly showed up smiling and bowing when I picked up my jacket to go and pay at the till.

@RedViking Where's you thread with the blocking scripts? Daily Investor suddenly popped up on my feed and couldn't figure out why the script wasn't blocking it.

But then I invite your twins to my kids party, muthaf$%^$##r both those kids best be bringing a gift each. Else they sharing a piece of cake, sharing a party pack.

You only have 1 child, they're getting a gift from the family? If you had twins they would have gotten them a gift each.
If my son has a party and the friend brings his sibling, we don't expect a gift from the sibling. In reality he's not even really expecting gifts, they are there to celebrate his birthday. Might be cause my birthday is close to Xmas that he's inherited my eh attitude to birthdays and it's about the company not the gifts.
I mean gifts are nice, but not the be all and end all.
