Things that irritate you - Part 4

Those awkward minutes when you drop your child off at someone's house for a party or visit or whatever, and you can't just chuck them over the fence so you're being all polite with the other parents, polite conversation, not just cutting and running, all the while declining the invitation for a drink or some tea.
Mate my kid is your problem now, I'm tryna get back home in time for the 3pm game and a nap.

Most revolting snack of a single thin layer of ham, something that was supposed to be salami but looked like pale pink sausage :sick: with mayonnaise and peppers on a dry baguette. Waiter virtually threw the stuff in my general direction and disappeared for 40 minutes. Suddenly showed up smiling and bowing when I picked up my jacket to go and pay at the till.

Mugg & Bean has gone off our options for this sort of pathetically poor service. Food quality is poor and service non existent. I am sorry for your experience.
 
Those 5 seconds between confirming a payment on my banking app and getting a message that the cash has disappeared, and the merchant confirming everything went through OK.
 
"leather" around redragon headphones worn away, granted it is 4 years old and lives on a hook on my desk :-). But yeah now to find away to fix it or just cover it up.

Same thing with my Sony's. All that faux leather is gone, just the foam left.

Used to love that place until service standards dropped then we get served by a waiter with a bleeding hand. That was 2 years ago so last Saturday decided to see if there was any change. Wont see us for another 2 years...

You ever just log into your banking app hoping for some reason your balance will have magically increased?
No?
Me neither.
But I get irritated when I do and it doesn't.

Nice. Incapable of delivering a critical service because it is dark and you have to rely on contractors who are probably the reason why things are breaking in the first place. Back in winter, there was an outage, and we were told that contractors would not be able to come out and do work on a Sunday afternoon because of the weather conditions. The weather conditions being cold. Because it was a winter's afternoon. So yeah, lots of confidence in these contractors they are using.

We were without power last week as well for about 16-hours.

Ekurhuleni is a sh*thole.

The private security companies that service the area as well as the local CPF came together and setup a schedule to provide armed protection for the contractors while they worked. They also sourced spotlights with the help of the community so the guys could work through the night.

I rescind my criticism of the contractors if these are the conditions they are subject to. But it highlights how utterly useless Ekurhuleni is. They need to outsource a critical service and on top of that cannot provide security for the contractors when they carry out emergency work.

Aaand they stole the cables again from the same location. Private security went to check and shots were fired.

Repair work commenced at 13:20, no ETA on completion.

Aside from this, there was an outage in the early hours of Tuesday morning and another outage last week. In the span of 14 days there has been two incidents of cable theft and 2 infrastructure-related outages.

What a lovely place.
 
Voice notes should be auto-deleted on WA until such time as there is a transcript setting. Till then, don't!

I am going to be really bold here (without being insensitive), but how does this impact on traffic?

Yes, I agree, Black Friday has become just another avenue by which most in commerce will attempt to exploit you. This has been the case for a while now, i.e., caveat emptor, let the buyer beware.
