I guess it could be a bulk SMS number I didnt think of that. The amount of interference in Political agenda's from the private sector certainly has made me skeptical possibly paranoid in this case, it was identified as Capitec by Truecaller.How do you know it's actually from them?

I would think that a Bank that size would have their own SMS numbers to avoid bad publicity like this. I have negotiated a better deal at a alternate Bank in the interim which I wouldn't have bothered to do, so I will be leaving anyway. So whether or not the SMS was from them it is still hurting them.
