Sales people who have the wrong number and immediately smash the phone off in my ear when they realise I'm not who they want. I have gotten so tired of this now I immediately moer the off button when I hear... Hi, my name is Tumi I'm calling from this-and-that in conjunction with this-and-that.

Really when I hear the words "in conjunction", "in regards to" or "I'm calling from" I'm already reaching for the cell phones off button.

Shots fired. Who dis?

Clearly not me, I haven't taken anything seriously on this forum.

Then they reply.. "How are you?"..

You say "who are you?"

They say, "I'm fine thanks"
You're so right and why do they insist on asking how you are, like they actually give a fuk.

Just calling to sell you something.

I wonder what they would do if someone answered, "Well actually I'm not so good. I just got retrenched, I found out my wife is cheating on me with my father and my son has shacked up with a crackhead."

Other side of the phone: "......."
*click*

Maybe I should try it some time... :D

I do this as soon as I hear its a sales call, which I get very often. I tell them how bad its been lately and why my friends tend to ignore me, they don't stay on the phone long haha

What I also do is seem very interested in their product and ask them for more information, then put the phone on the table and carry on working. Eventually they hang up when they realize you are not there

Sitting in traffic and I need to get to the left lane. I see a gap that is about a car length, but I am not a pr*ck so I indicate my intention to move across instead of just gapping it. Will the Ford Ranger ease off the gas a little and let me in? Nah, he'll accelerate up the arse of the car in front of him, close the gap and force me to bring the right lane to a near stand-still while I try and get in to the left lane.

I don't get these muppets. Is it so hard to let someone in?

Ughh.. people like that. I try to give a chap a gap 99% of the time.. but some people just want to see the world burn.

They always drive past you with a stony look on their face, pretending they don't see you. I always pull in behind them and clap my hands sarcastically. Whether they see that or not, I don't know.

Worst is when it happens out on the highway. Take yesterday ad an example. The left-hand lane going up the hill towards Cotswold in PE is going slowly because the offramp is congested.

So what do people do? They duck into the fast lane only to duck back three or four cars ahead again and invariably hold up the fast lane traffic because no one wants to let them in.

Also, people who hog the fast lane siting at 100kph and refuse to go into the slow lane because there is a truck going 1kph slower than them half a mile up the road

Got rear-ended at a red traffic light on Tuesday week ago at about 14h30. Van who hit me reverses, goes past, through the red light and causes two oncoming cars to nearly hit one another. Go to SAPS Wynberg with van's CA number, total disinterest, am I sure it is right number, etc. They will call me back with case number. No response. Go to SAPS this morning, no record of my reporting the accident, they cannot find the folder and just stand there, shrugging their shoulders. What do I expect them to do now they ask?

Van had bakery signwriting on it, so I call the factory. Lady says van was not in that area that day but she does not know exactly where it was

Repair is only R 16500 (mainly the plastic bumper) so Santam will have to sort it out

when i did the reporting thing i got the case number immediately for insurance. if you know the reg number is right. just give it to your insurance. make it their problem. that's why you pay.

Probably was tired of those people who try to jump the queue all the time and decided now is his chance to get "them" back.

Tell me about it. I have to compete with them for the yellow lane on my daily commute to work. Only I am exposed meat on a bicycle.

Biking to/from work the 4th time this week in the rain. Not really an irritation but goodness. SA drivers already can't drive, now nature adds rain to the already difficult equation of keeping a car on the road.
