Talking on a phone. Hate it. What's wrong with email or face to face? But you get those people who insist on always phoning.

I prefer email or IM - leaves an trial and prevent nasty "he said, she said" incidents.

But ja, people love to phone, they can then say whatever they want afterwards, leaving you with the ball in your court when it is not even your fault.

In cases like that, I normally follow up with a mail saying. As per our telephonic conversation you wanted the following done: and list what they wanted.

We use Lync, and all our calls and IM's are recorded, so there is that. I'd much prefer to talk to someone in person.

+1,000,000 when I email someone, please email back. Don't call me. I don't want to talk to you and a paper trail will do just fine in future should I reference back to our interaction.

Can't believe I use so many tools on my workstation, VS2017, SQL Damagement Stidio, Git, Winamp, Total Commander, RD Tabs <- all installed. But I still have so much more to install.

How about the people that sends you an email, then immediately pitch up at your desk within a few seconds, or worse, phones you to let you know they sent you an email:twisted:

Sometimes people chat with me on skype about an issue, then as I am in midway with typing a reply they drop a "I'm coming over" and no matter how quickly I go "Ctrl-A No please f...k off" Their WinKey+L trumps it every time. Still does not stop me from referring them to what I just replied to them when they do show up at my desk

Microwave turntable thing doesn't turn.

Ready meal thing says it can go into oven. Fine lets do that.

Throw it in oven. Check on it 5 mins before suggested time. Entire plastic container thing melted. Fuuuu.

So either that oven is abnormally hot or the instructions are sht.
