Things that irritate you.....

Exactly! No one but me will touch these monitors and if I do it is only to clean them.

The other minor irritation is self inflicted - I reformatted my workstation because I want Secure Boot (Fast Boot) enabled. Went for the creators edition of Windows 10 Enterprise and firstly the stupid MS ISO to USB tool does not create UEFI bootable USB disks, thankfully Rufus does. Had to hunt down someone from IT support to add me to the domain, now the painful task of reinstalling everything...
Just format the flash drive to fat32, mount iso and copy the files over. No need for Rufus

That does not format the flash drive to be UEFI bootable.

My current irritation is people cheating on a race. On the 100 mile ride across the Cederberg yesterday this Fortuner comes past with a bike on the back and as I'm eating dust I chuckle at the quiter who bailed. Only he did not and just as I approach the next T where we turn off I see him riding away and the Fortuner heading off straight.

Caught up with the bloke at the last water table and confirmed it's the same bike and race number I saw on the back off the Fortuner. He remarked that it's too hot to be riding upon which I say that it sure is more comfortable in a Fortuner. He gave me a dirty look and the ou toppie at the water table laughed and said "ag wat ons maak maar bietjie musiek vir julle". I turned around and saw the Afrikaans daansbaan broeknaai sokkie treffers we have been hearing blairing from another Fortuner.

Anyway I finished before him so I'm not worried. But I will check the race results to see if his race number there. Hopefully he did the honourable thing and asked them to exclude him from the results.

People parking next to me. When I go to a mall or something, I will pick a spot that is as desolate as possible. And what will happen? Some chop will come park next to me, even though it is the furthest from any entrance, and the closest other car is over 100m away. It drives me nuts.

You know, I've noticed that, too.

Head for a nice, wide-open grouping of half a dozen empty bays when the parking lot is not even really busy, and voom...someone slots in right next to our car within milliseconds.

I don't get it - some kind of semi-conscious follow-the-leader?

Human nature.

Saw a experiment on YouTube - a sign for people to queue (for no reason). Unlikely that anyone will join the queue. Start the queue with your own guy, and sure enough other people joined the queue without even knowing what it was for.

Well... Nice going #285 Paul Marais and his Fortuner did good. 21/56 is something any cheater should be proud of.

Speaking of Fortuners. Is it just me or do they have a bad habit of driving up someones ass the whole time? And the double cab bakkies:mad:

.............and it's either a dilapidated bakkie with workers on the back or a woman with small children, a pram, baby car seat etc. :(

Yes, always. Or a behemoth that needs about 2 parking spaces just to get out of his/her car:mad:

Yes, they only give you the keys to your Fortuner if you drive like a BMW driver. Or promise to cheat on a race with it.

I guess it still beats cars that don't belong on the road. So many un roadworthy cars poer-poering along.

"Havoc get on a plane you need to be in the US tomorrow". Do I look like a fedex letter to you?

oh well its an adventure.

Gonna be dying of jetlag though

Gods, that's scary.

In these days when probably 90% of people pay for stuff like lunch with a credit or debit card the waiters still bring the bill only. Then one has to wait and ask again for the card machine and wait again. FFS!!!

I actually prefer using zapper when going out for something to eat or drink. No need for a card machine.

Really got peeved this morning on the Safari half marathon. They made it abundantly clear that this run is part of the run clean initiative. So please do not throw your water sachet on the road, there are ample bins provided for that... yet some people still do it and when other runners point it out they just shrug their shoulders or ignore it. In retro spec I should have picked it up and gave it back saying something like "you appeared to have dropped something".

Will look out for it. Haven't seen the option at Mugg & Bean yet or another coffee shop that I frequent.
