Things that irritate you.....

People who send on those spam whatsapp messages about the "CEO of Whatsapp have seen there is too many users, and if you don't send on this message to all your contacts , then your account will be deleted." I have to politely explain to the person(s) who sent me that crap, that the message is rubbish. Everytime. Still, they send it on... It is a big stinking pile of dinosaur manure rubbish and wasting my time. So much for testing my patience...

No you don't "have to" anything. You block them and live your life with once less idiot in it.
 
Complexes, so ours doesn't have any trustees anymore. All of them have quit due to how the owners/tenants treated them. No one wants to run because of this as well. Though I might actually run just to put things into place as the place is a freaking playground, petty squabbles, one of the owners managed to screw the complex out of R100 000 and there isn't anything we can do about it, yet she gets on her high horse and tries to act all might and high. Another tenant has for some unknown reason just started a vendetta against my wife and it goes on and on sigh.
I really need to get into a free-hold house.

If you don't particularly like people - and I love them, but don't always like them - then freehold is a must.

Or a hermit cave somewhere inaccessible.

I'd love a hermit cave ;-). This isn't about loving people or not, this is just about the pettiness in the complex of late. The old lady up the road moans cause the kids are too loud, now there are no kids playing in the complex anymore as they are afraid of her, there isn't anything we can do about it, even though she's made countless arguments over stupid things. The telkom grate in front of her unit is too loud when the cars drive over it, they must not drive over it (so we must somehow hover over it?), the kids are too loud, the dogs are constantly yapping (it's her dogs as she doesn't follow the rules by having something over the gate). Then there is the lady who when she was a trustee hired her mother as the garden supervisor at R5000pm, so when the new trustees came along they saw that we were paying R12k a month on our gardens, which was a garden supervisor and the gardener.
My wife who was a trustee at the time got the others and the owners to agree on a garden service, but thanks to some really bad advice from the managing agent the retrenchment of the two didn't go so well. My wife told the other trustees we need to let the other owners know we are going to get sued and we must maybe just go to the CCMA and pay them out it will at most be R20k. Nooo the other trustees all voted against her and went with option B going with a lawyer and ended up having to pay R50k for the lawyer, R50k to the supervisor and R20k to the gardener. They then all turned it on my wife saying she handled it badly, luckily she had whatsapp messages to show, she asked numerous times to try resolve this amicably and that the other trustees didn't do anything.
So she cannot be a trustee anymore apparently, we also aren't going to get that woman again as a trustee cause she ended up costing us a fortune, the other trustees have been abused by residents. We have had them getting phone calls at 2am cause a units electricity is out, someone has attempted to break in and and and. It's like they are trustees not your servants, phone the managing agents.
This is why I hate complex living, not to mention the levies we pay which I asked for a breakdown of what it's being used for and nada, it was supposed to be used to fix our doors and walls which thanks to shoddy workmanship are detoriating fast, instead it's gone to boost security around some units. Instead of those units paying for their own security like everyone else.
 
tl;dr is "whatsapp saved wife from evil trustees".
