The only restriction we have imposed is that we have a closed period twice a year wherein we may not buy or sell shares of our company. While I do grumble a wee bit, I agree with their terms. But there aren't any rules beyond this stopping our staff buying any other shares (direct competition included). It comes down to conflict of interest, I suppose?All the big accounting firms do this.
Need to pre-clear every share purchase before pulling the trigger...and about 1/3 of all shares globally comes back as "Prohibited". Routinely rains on my share yolo'ing parade...
