I recall a moment last Sunday afternoon on the Kouebokkeveld, sun was at the late afternoon position, wind was gently blowing over the fields and grass. It just looked so nice and few people get to experience that. I turned to my ride partner and said "You know Sunday afternoons can be depressing, but how fortunate are we to be right here, right now?" she took her eyes off the road for a while to take in the scenery and remarked that she can't think of many other places she would rather be at the time.

That was a week ago and I still think back to it. I prefer chill Sundays and not doing anything, but when I do something like that it makes for an awesome Sunday.

People that beg you for money and it becomes your responsibility to follow up on when you will receive your money.
 
Dog having a cluster seizure at 1am. Will only now how she is at 8.

Me needing to do some injections at 6 and tests at 8am.

Depends who it is and how much, when I lend money out, I do it as if I won't get it back. If I can't part with the money, I just say sorry I can't help. No need for their problem to become mine.
 
People in shops coming to ask for me to buy them something. Yeah no the fact that you're clearly a druggie isn't going to get me to give you a cent.

Leaving the Kruger behind. It's always nice to be home, but heck, my soul is at home in the Park.

She was waiting for me at the finish. I rode with this girl until the end but 1km after that magical moment I realised the cable for my rear derailleur had snapped. Being a 1x10 bike I was stuck in the highest gear so from there on I jogged up climbs and went fast on the rest. The last few meters is on this lawn with long grass and I was in front, she pass me as I was running a long the bike, I cheered her on the finish line and as I approached the commentator announched "and our first trail runner pussing a bike, finishing after the 2nd lady". I was so glad to see my wife and daughter. I hugged them both and said thanks for another awesome experience. When they showed me where they setup a picnic blanket I dropped the bike and walked over to her. We gave each other a hug, she said "thanks for being so awesome, I really needed that".

My wife was a bit weird after that but after asking out about it she was cool with it.

Funny you bring that up. Today my wife asked me if my "new girlfriend" also ran Safari with me and I said no, she did not even give kudos on Strava. Yet one of the MTB MILFs I admire did give me kudos.
