The guy ahead of me in his Qashqai threw his stompie out the window. I really wanted to get out my car, head to his car, pick up the stompie and with a straight face hand it back to him and say "Here, I think you dropped this."

Maybe next time I'll overcome my stagefright and actually carry through with it

I'd Just laugh watching you looking for the stompie, especially if you have to run after it as the wind blows it. Then if you handed it back he will just throw it out as soon as you turn your back.

Don't! - it's not worth it.

Worst case scenario you get killed in a road rage incident. And the more you dwell on it, the more likely you are to follow through, so rather remind yourself why it's not worth the risk and don't dwell further on how you will do it or try to encourage yourself to do it.
