Client moving offices "lost" a computer and backup drive. This back in November. It is a ballet school and their 33500 pupil list was on there

After visiting the movers 4 times, I found out that the van visited another site on the way

Going to this site, there was the box lying in the office, clearly labelled "Carton 3 of 30" with a sticker with the owner's details on it. They were completely disinterested and let me just pick it up and take it away without asking any questions

The moving co were also not interested and claimed that they delivered everything, despite carton 3 not being ticked off

Both the movers and incorrect consignee are BEEEE companies

The universe thought it would be amusing & ironic for the first person I've really liked and relaxed with in a long time to be a Jehovah's Witness. Which makes things very difficult for her especially. So...we were honest and open about everything and have drifted apart on good terms. There's no resentment or anything kak between us which is nice. A part of me kept hoping that overnight the universe would shift and permit a possibility but I've had to learn also to let go of that.

And now it's cool. I feel like I've moved through the experience and am here having learned some lessons and met someone amazing and am in goods spirits about life. I'd rather have gone through this than not at all.

"In everything give thanks..."

I so wanted to post this in the irritation thread. But stopped short. On reflection and thought, I decided this is the right place. This year is the first (that I can recall, in all my working life) that I shan't be getting a wage increase. Yes, it was a blow. But, I expected this (mostly).

My gratitude is more to the fact that I have been incredibly fortunate to retain my work without a cut in wage in a time when many have not been as fortunate. It is what it is. I still have the ability to find ways to 'pay it forward where I can. I am grateful!
