Things that please you...

Never thought in my life I'd see Spurs in a Champions League final, had resigned myself to them always being the plucky losers; now I have to convince the wife to let me go watch the game.

I actually have to replace the rear tyres on my car. They are the original ones that was put on the car in France back in 2007. Looking real sorry by now.

I'm still running the same marie biscuits on my Corsa that the factory put on in 2005, still plenty of tread left and no grip, one did fail me at 190 and there are some tiny bits where they are separating partially due to age, so no highway or speedy driving till I get new ones.

So basically your vehicle is not roadworthy?

Corsa Lite comes from the factory with wheels that want to kill you. Even the slightest inclination of moisture and they will aquaplane.

Why would it not be, tread depth is within spec, structurally there are no defects large enough to make them illegal or dangerous, some oxidation present at surface level but its tiny.

True that, its both a risk when you need to do a emergency stop (no abs) or go around a large roundabout at anything more than 40 in the dry. But it also allows for some fun slides at safe speeds if you feel like acting a fool. Also dirt cheap.

ok, so legal, but dangerous. Got it ;)

Jip, stopping distance in the wet, I'll be surprised if that's legal, if you can see a object your heading towards you and you panic and lock the wheels you will hit it, guaranteed. Your best bet is to feather the brakes and try to avoid it.

Because a tyre has at most a ten year life span. That's when the rubber is basically shot.

The Land Party not getting anywhere. These are the people instigating the riots in Hermanus last year. So Ncobani, Vanessa and Mandy lost R245,000 (national and WC).
