Things that please you...

I was making a joke as you’re cashing in an investment ;)
Ahh, I get it.

Thought you meant you bought a MacBook with the M2 chip.

FFS, now you've got me looking at cars again. I was even browsing some KTM Superdukes this morning. Something is not right with me.

My garage is a mess with the last last stuff I removed from my father's house before I sold the place. I must still find a space for everything and sort it out.
That's a good and bad thing. Keeps me from buying something low and fast AF, cause it can't sleep in the garage atm. Bad thing is my garage is a mess. Or is the other way around?

And my other garage is a hollywood type, so it's open on one side.

I enjoy commuting around Joburg. My afternoon drive home is especially good. Today was another awesome example.
  • Some nice homeless people were in mass directing traffic at one the dead intersections in Sandton. I always wonder about the coincidence of traffic lights that aren't working and these nice people suddenly helping us out. But hey.
  • in another minor outed intersection in Randburg outside Rhema the green people from OUTsurance were doing their good thing. In Hans Schoeman, all traffic moving west from Randburg and Sandton were stationary for around 3 kilometres. We enjoyed the music on our radios (thank you Hot1027) while these good OUTsurance pointsmen were giving preference to anything moving in or out of Rhema. Well done lads!
  • Then major intersections like Jan Smuts and Republic are OUT and unmanned. The joy of edging through the intersection for at least 30 minutes allowed me to debrief from my day in the office. I am grateful to OUTsurance, JMPD and the City of Joburg for making this happen. I got through there completely refreshed.
  • There are so many craters and potholes that I lost count :( Most have been there so long that I get to practice my slalom in my car. Weave here, weave there. And there even some of these features where nice people had placed orange cones in them for me to observe these epic landmarks. If I had been moving any slower I might have had the opportunity to photograph them for you.
  • Then there was the good folk from the JMPD in an adhoc spot randomly pulling over and checking cars. On the rest of my commute there were countless hammered taxi buses and old less hammered vehicles smoking my path. I observed one such beauty whose brake lights flashed when applied. Missing number plates were also another feature. I guess these were all okay by JMPD standards (bless their cotton socks!).
  • Most of fellow commuters were amazing to be among. I did see a few cars where their indicator lights weren't working (forgive them) ... or was it an optional extra they did not take up when they bought their cars. Not sure.
  • The highlight, I suppose, was the lad who gave me a middle finger because I caused him to hastily brake in a mahogany red light so that I could safely turn right across traffic. He was so classy that he made me smile.
I look forward to my commute tomorrow to see what joys it will bring :)

I'll tell you one thing, KTM sure knows how to make a naked bike look good, with just the right colours and accents to make the right pieces stand out.

Trick with most bikes is that your engine is both a functional piece of the vehicle itself and part of the styling.

And I feel that they nailed it without having to slap fairings onto it to hide all the ugly bits.

It's the orange scaffolding they use for the frame that does the trick...
