So my MB Pro slid off my lap desk as I was standing up holding it with my right hand. I had an empty coffee cup in my left hand and I managed to (still holding the cup), stop the PC from sliding off by banging my thumb into the side.

I've never been able to do that with a Windows PC
An injury sustained to save an Apple product is a sign of heroism. Your portrait should be put up in the office :)
