macOS Golden Gate (macOS 27)

I just updated my Mac Studio to 27 - can't say it's been without issue especially with USB-C devices.

I had 1x USB C DisplayPort connected monitor not want to work, 1x USB C NVME external drive stop working and 1x USB C 3.5" external drive stop working.

It's been resolved but wouldn't call it a great update experience.

I've resolved most of it now but there have been a few odd things happening.

It happens... I have had experiences like this... with one particular update - macOS Ventura.
Broke a lot of stuff on my laptop.

This new update affects Vectorworks 2025 aswell ( If anyone uses that software)

Linux by the looks of it. Windows will live in corporate because that's what gets taught (Outlook...HAH! That has been fun forcing the new upon corporate users; Waiting for eggShell to become a travesty), and there are apps developed in the 90's/2000's that are LoB and never rebuilt. The backend, though, is becoming anything goes.


Have you seen the price of onsite MS SQL!?
