This is why I am broke

Somewhere along the way, you were probably told that money can’t buy happiness or that chasing wealth would make you miserable.

These were most likely the same people who said, “Love is more important than money,” but I’m pretty sure none of them have ever tried to pay a bill with a hug.

I had the same thought a while ago.

I am not asking for much, but having enough earning power just to not have to plan and save for weeks to be able to buy a nice trinket for the house or take the missus out on a fancy date would be an immense improvement.

I don't own any of those things, Im broke coz I live in South Africa under the ANC government, and I spend all my money on beer

Money can't buy happiness, but it sure can rent it.

Is this a article asking a for a wage increase subtly, without angering management?
Or a troll post?

It's RPM, so it's a subtle way of him saying "no" to increases because that extra money won't buy them happiness.

Are you sure? Because I would gladly take a wage increase, but not to buy more things to make me happy...
Tell that to the Eskom people...

Money cant buy happiness. but it can prevent unhappiness. Money is a massive reason for divorce, especially when there's life pressures. There is however a maximum amount of money where more doesnt truly make you happier.

Adding to Randomgeek... yeah. got 7 month old twins.... RTX3080 was my last "me purchase" last year.... Doesnt help when a paediatrician charges R1000 per child, even though its like 3 mins per kid for a checkup in the same session. Im in the wrong career

Love is indeed more important, than all the irrelevant importance that society inculcates in everyone. To break free from the collective reinforcing paradigm that most think what life is all about...requires unlearning all what you have been taught...about self. Once you start walking down that road of perspective change and no longer a slave to the collective reality imprint... you will realise how asleep most are....and the levels of perception you have access to....

100% sure, why else would RPM personally post this here?

I feel your pain, I have paid for more than one of my paed's overseas holidays over the past few years

"The hoverboard packs 272 horsepower and 203,000 watts of installed power"

Is it just me needing more coffee this morning or does that statement make f0kol sense.

I've switched from beer to Gin. More punch per weight and due to the muscle atrophy we're suffering from lockdowns the last thing I need is blikseming down the stairs and being pinned down by 24 beers.

Gin is beautiful but I can't drink it neat.
Tonic water and other mixes have too much sugar
