Ok I have to get this off my chest because this morning I'm so bloody annoyed at this whole thing I can run into a wall a couple of times.

Now let's look at how we got here shall we:

1. IAAF warned ASA that they are not sure if this is a man or woman and they want tests done (This was before the World meet) so they should exclude her till the tests are done and completed.

2. ASA feels fk it and puts this child in the middle of a mess.

3. The IAAF acts on the tests as they said they would.

4. SA the country who thinks the world owes them something and always have 1000 things to say about Racism (Which is the easy way out ofc) and Africa being the little black sheep and are now being victimized goes and shoots their mouths off. Using this little girl as a means to a point in driving their own little agenda.

5. The news hits and now this poor girl is being told she's nor man nor woman. How the hell must she feel, and to make it worse SA government made this to be a world headline this morning. (This is their doing)

I feel sad for this woman and what she must be going through now. But for the life of me I can't understand why they had to put her in this position to begin with? If they did what IAAF said and excluded her, this would not even have been news, might even not have been such big news if Juliass and the other clowns didn't go and play the victim card and race card at Jan Smuts airport.

And where does this leave this woman now?

I wish Politics would stay out of sport because they do more harm than good.

Mostly I agree with you, except for this point:

Don't forget that Semenya is externally a woman, she's always thought of herself as a woman, as have her friends, family etc. You can't exclude someone from the World Champs based on the expectation of an adverse verdict - that's assuming she's "guilty".

But yes, the IAAF and especially ASA, have let Semenya down. It is very disappointing for her.

Yes I understand that form everyone's external view she would have been seen as female. Don't you think it would have cause her alot less pain if they did as they were advised?

Yes, she would not have completed and would have been down and out because of it. But now she's being placed on newspapers all over the world and that must surely be much worse.

Having to find out you are not what you have been all your life and now all this being placed on every newspaper known to man

I don't think there's an athletics coach in the world that would say to a very promising 18yr athlete "You can't go to the World Champs because, despite the fact that you've got a vagina, there are people that think that you might not be a woman."

True.

But they suspected it, Who is really surprised about this? An ex BF and her self?

This is egg all over SA's faces.

i think mr malema owes all the white ppl he accused of been racist over this issue an apology

I totally agree with you... it has nothing to do with the poor girl! I am just relishing the debacle and scandal created by all these loud mouths who love to shoot their fat gabs off at Racism... and then have to come back and eat humble pie! :D

I LOVE IT!!! :D

Be honest:

1. would you date her (she has the body!! I would kill ) knowing that she is a man with girly parts
2. Would you compete against her?

Awesome post...

I agree... Her world has come crashing down... It's very, very, very sad. It's especially sad that other people used her as their scapegoat. I wonder how many of them will actually stand by her and try to defend her now?

**** them all

exactly as in the same line as mbeki saying aids is poverty...

Me too, but live is not that nice is it? :(

It is. The problem is when people will start treating her as though she's a monster just because she's different. And really, how different is she to what she was four months ago? She's still the same person. But that's not what others will see, is it?

Firstly, her dreams of being a professional athlete are pretty much shot. Secondly, with this news becoming public, whatever small community she lives in will look down at her. Thirdly, I have no doubts that Inkwenkwe will, in some way, hold her to blame for "tricking" him or whatever. Fourthly, her life is being made a mockery by the media and government and sports organisations alike. Can you imagine how difficult this time must be for her? Especially since her little world of beliefs and normalcy has been shattered.

I genuinely worry for this girl's future. And by all means, I believe she is a girl. She grew up believing it, living as one and acting as one. She is her mother's daughter and she should hold her head up high. But other people won't see it as that.

I believe what she needs is her friends and family to support her... If she doesn't have that, then... :/ I really wish her the best...

I agree, they should let her leave the lime light and let the dust settle on this. And like you said i hope she gets all the support she needs.

I it true what i hear from the african people in the office that the african comunity will treat her worse than the whites because they traditionaly see this as a curse?
