This USB Killer will instantly kill your computer

Using a physical overload on a system, through an exposed port.... How revolutionary...

This is like saying, "Here, give me your car keys, so I can unlock, move and then push your car off the edge of a cliff, just so I can prove how vulnerable your car is to falling off a cliff."

And this fewl is getting airtime? No wonder the Aliens will never visit us!

If it destroyed the data on the harddrive then it would be useful.

No data = No evidence

Not quite as simple as that unfortunately...

The most you could hope for from this device is destruction of the controller board of the hard drive (if that even happens). Can just slot a new controller board in and the drive should spin up and be all hunky dory.

You can never really "destroy" data on a magnetic disk. Sure, you can make it harder to recover though.

Oh you can destroy it.. quite easily actually...

But something like this USB Killer has no hope of doing that.
