Diablo3 gets released on the 15th of May. If there is any kind of shaping and poor latency to the diablo 3 european servers, that would mean and instant ISP switch. Just a heads up.

lol already left WA, useless ISP. Go afrihost 15gb for R190, and no WA morons telling you its your line, do tracerts, when there is a 150page thread of ppl moaning about them. No lag, no shaping and cheaper with afrihost = ftw

Is this something that's crept up in the past?
Something you'd like for me to look into for you?
What account do you have?

Tried playing any games with a WA account on EU servers recently?

I'm still getting random spikes on SWToR after 8/9 in the evenings, Diablo 3 Beta also has random spikes in the evening.

I haven't done much online gaming yet with my WA account (on a 1mb uncapped), other than the occasional HoN game which has been up and down, latency-wise. I assume the server is tracert europe.battle.net if you want to check into it.

not to jump on the bandwagon here but on the weekend various guildies were having connection issues in cape town. I think 3 of them were WA and 1 was Telkom. Seemed a bit odd thats all Im saying

on the bad side there were 2 cases of massive ping spikes i had when playing on tuesday, 2000ms lag for bout 3 minutes each.
on the good side the rest of the time its 190ms ping

There is spiky latency on WoW to EU Servers for a few weeks now and its mainly Johannesburg clients having issues from what I seen.

As a past webafrica customer. EU Latency is pretty low but OMG the lag is just too much..... League Of legends is unplayable on webafrica.

I had the exact same issue. Decided I can't sit with the "sorry guys, frame drops" excuse, so I found a better solution.

Was playing Diablo 3 Beta over the weekend and on sat night as it turned to 00:00 o'clock it was unplayable all of a sudden (this is the 6 hour window when you can download without being throttled.) Consistently poor latency of 1000-2000ms. Very disappointed in WA, might have to switch to Mweb or Afrihost.

Not to mention I got an excessive usage email in error (I've done about 30gb for the month of April so far). That email is shocking, it reads more like a threat than a warning. Totally poor practice.

What line do you have, if 30GB led to a warning (bar the windows thingy)?
I'm sitting on 55GB atm, but I've hit my 6h windows half a dozen times and I'm very close to my 7 day window. This now with a 1Mb account.

To be totally honest with you I don't understand what you expect, if everyone on a network switches on their downloads at 00:00 obviously the network will be under strain, and given that it's an uncapped account means that the majority of people who have the account will download as much as possible especially if it doesn't count towards their usage windows.

While playing the Beta it was quite playable. But other games like Hon, Lol is impossible to play on this damn account. This whole month was just filled with packet loss this month. And what pisses me off even more according to them i must pay almost double of what im paying to have a good experience I will give it a month and see if anything improves otherwise im changing ISPs.

I'm sorry, but then WA should do something about it. Clients shouldn't have to just accept that they can't use their accounts after a certain time of day. WA should ensure that it is usable 24/7. If the network comes under strain every night, it is something WA should do something about.

Maybe it is time for a Mybb WA article on their degraded network and service? There is always the ISPA route http://ispa.org.za/code-of-conduct/complaints-form/

If you complain about this at support they will probably tell you to upgrade to Home Pro, since Home uncapped is not recommended for gaming.

Funny how this can change with enough pressure. How is it then that mweb has a dedicated team to optimize gaming traffic for their uncapped products? The time is long past where you have separate accounts for everything you want to do. This is suppose to be a service not a money marketing scheme run by 3 persons.

And what is even funnier is when they initially announced the product, they made 100s of promises about how wonderful the product is, now all of that has suddenly changed. They even promised that your quality of gaming would never degrade on the Home Uncapped, even when throttled. Look at it now.
