I know that feeling all too well. The best part of the experience was the SMS sent afterwards confirming the call and giving a reference number. Too often you've just spent half an hour and the moment you put the phone down, you have a nagging suspicion that everything you just said was in vain.
It's not new - I have loads of these SMSes on my SIM card going back to December 2006, I suppose I should delete some of them if I ever get partial rental fee refunds...this sms thing is new, could it be that telkom is actually improving? slightly...
The agent was friendly and knowledgeable
I've nearly always found Telkodemonopolies' call centre agents to be friendly & polite, but usually not helpful when reporting a line or other fault - the script they use tends to assume that the customer must be a cretin, other than that the pillar to post transferring of one's call applies...In the many, many phone calls I made to them in the last six months, a precious few of them were really helpful and friendly. I hope that, one day when the monopoly comes crashing to the ground, these few will find happy jobs elsewhere.
The rest can rot in hellkom.
