I know - I'll just start work later if I need to be in the office.

For anyone who's interested in buying property - WinDeeds is a cool program for getting the price the current owner paid for the place, when they bought it, previous owners, etc.

Yep, it's alledgedly the average price of a property from 2006 to 2011.
(so I heard)
So it should in theory reflect 2009 prices by now.

i used to work 2.1km from home, then got send to clients, only 80km away... no biggie.. it sucks, 1h30 on a good day

Keep us updated, I'm really keen to do that course.
From their site it seems like you have to complete the course within 6 weeks.

Will do - just emailed about the 6 weeks - if I can't do it, I'll send the girlfriend in my Hilux :p
 
Any suggestions on an offer for a house that was purchased in the middle of 2005 for R1,650,000?

Municipal value (not that it means much) is R1,131,000 in 2007.

About 8 houses sold nearby for between R1,500,000 and R2,300,000.

Computer Assisted Valuation is R1,870,000.

Its currently on the market for R1,895,000 in West Beach.

I'm thinking of R1,500,000.

Hmmm - not sure - I'll try find out - don't think its advertised yet. Only available in November 2009.

3x bathrooms (including 1x guest bathroom, with shower)

1 of the reception rooms is fairly large, and includes a jacuzzi.
3x fireplaces, one in each reception room.

660m2 property.
260m2 house.
