looks like its MUCH easier to get to l5 on gold account and it seems they also get 40% off and 15% back on fuel and shoprite. Their swipes get 1.5% instead of 2%. Seems its better to be gold. Fnb punishing us platinum holders.
Will the extra bank charges justify it?
Welll it looks like a Global Account in Euros is the most finanancially effective way to jump to level 5, 3000 points at about R11000 invested. Major reorganisation of finances required, but net effect will be R800 per month in vouchers.
Disappointed that they're pushing you towards using a credit card more. Really disappointed. I've only ever kept one for emergencies, and now I have to actually use it and deal with the admin of transferring money back into it.

Transfer eBucks
If you would like to transfer eBucks from your personal eBucks account to another eBucks account, please call our eBucks Contact Centre on 087 320 3200.
Is there an automatic way to transfer eBucks from one person to another? Last year it had to be done by calling the eBucks helpline IIRC.
Do you get the same rewards per tier regardless of what account you have?
Exactly and actually very easy to get there. You literally don't need to jump through the hoops.Comparing Gold and Platinum, it would appear that Gold is a better option if your credit card useage is not high.
My wife is on Gold and currently level 1. She will automatically go to level 3 and with a bit of revision of actions could get to 5 quite easilly.
The points allocations seem to be rigged to reduce branch and cash transactions and to increase credit card revenue,
The differences between Gold and Platinum points allocations reinforce this.
