Got a letter from FNB to remove all the calculator apps, as they are infringing on their copyright by using the word eBucks in the descriptions. They also said that the color of the icon is the same color as what FNB use, and I'm not allowed to use that color.

Anyone else receive this sms?
FNBGet rewarded with double eBucks by simply swiping your credit card for everyday purchases.
Yes - I think they just reminding you to use your credit card instead or the cheque card
I got the SMS yesterday as well.
Also got the SMS. Does it cost the merchants more if a credit card is used instead of a debit/cheque card?
Yes, the fees are higher for them but the fees on credit card were reduced recently, so now the gap is not as wide anymore. There was a MyBB article on it recently, credit card interchange fees or something like that. Also got the SMS. Does it cost the merchants more if a credit card is used instead of a debit/cheque card?
i dont think so.. but cards are cheaper than cash for merchants... and if the bank can get you to use your credit card (their money)... there will be more chance of you having to pay interest? It is a business after all... and they adapt rules to change or try and force behaviour

So at a glance and comparing to eBucks reward levels, if one is on Platinum RL5 for example, then FNB is making a loss on such individuals? RL5 would award 2% back to RL5 customers. And 4% for online purchases...100% correct... found this one.. http://www.clasa.co.za/the-biggest-banking-story-of-the-year/
The gap is indeed much smaller now.
