This. My wife just got a new linked credit card as the previous one wasn't being read by card machines anymore.

I also have cover some of my business travel expenses with my personal account then claim back from the company.

How come u get 5k ebucks for the Smart Device? I'm guessing because you on PW and I'm not Platinum. My Smart Device was taken out in Jan 2014 and since the new ebucks rules came in I stopped getting 1k reward points.

yup, PW level 5 = 100% of smart device spend back, up to R500

first R10,000 @ 6% = 6,000EB
that leaves 90787EB to earn at 1% thus spend was R907 870 + R10,000......... R917k online spend :/ did he buy a house??

Online spend +/- R1m (mentioned a few pages back).
Card limit is R150k - top up and use more. eBucks only has soft caps on this account.

Last month I got 75 to 99.9% awarded, but going back to September I see the text there has updated to this as well to 50-100%.

Wow, I suddenly realise how much money (eBucks) I'm in essence pissing away on a monthly basis.

I'm on PW but only get like 6000 - 10 000 eBucks per month and will as such immediately focus on these aspects listed by all of you - I see that an Ekurhuleni municipal bill can be paid via Easypay and will as such start with this.

Any other good tips?>

RL5 on PW isn't cheap. I need to open my Channel Island account and put 5000 GBP in there to get the last few points to get to RL5.

I only opened an account in August so my balance is 0.
I made a deposit into that account last month as it was a requirement to earn eBucks, and did everything else as per requirements.
My balance is still 0.

On platinum I smashed the online and in-store spend limits hard last month (expected). I set up two browser windows and compared with Private Clients. The earn rate is higher and the limits slightly higher, but I would only get about eB2000 more. At a baseline rate that's R200 and the monthly fee difference is about R150 I think, so R50 per month if this kept happening. Not really asking anything, just wondering aloud at what point I should think about PC instead of Platinum. I think it'd be if I were to use the extras, like often going to Slow Lounge, eBucks Lifestyle and so on. For now, the real limit is the 0.6% post-cap rate on both account types - I really wish they didn't do that for online spend.
