So do you always pay and then get refunded? Or is it properly "free" if you meet criteria?

Haven't used them yet.
I last used this on 29 December 2014. I don't recall getting any inContact messages of any charges and only 5 weeks later in my February statement did the following items appear (this was for two of us, both card holders on the same account but I only handed one card in):

29 Dec #Slow Entry Fee Reversal 0.00 Cr
29 Dec #Slow Entry Fee Reversal 0.00 Cr
29 Dec #Slow Lounge Entry Fee 0.00
29 Dec #Slow Lounge Entry Fee 0.00

No it does not . You can transfer to a friends/SO fnb account and transfer it back. It does count then.

So transferring a grand 33 times would make you qualify ?
*yes, i know it's a stupid example and no one would do that, but just wanted to know*

:D

Am I missing something?
There is no 55 day interest free on my Credit Card... I have to pay quite a bit every 30 days if I didn't clear my CC.

Also, I received an SMS from FNB a while back stating that if I use more than R500 on my Credit Card within the first month of activation then then will settle a portion of the outstanding amount with R150. That never ####ing happened.

I'm quite new to CC. Activated mine (Gold) about 4 months ago. They refunded the R150 activation fee after 3 months. I used between 15% and 50% of my limit in each of those 3 months.
As for the 55-day thing, I gave up on trying to understand it. All I know is that you need to pay the amount they show on the statement (the amount which has a little note near it saying that if you don't pay that specified amount you'll be charged interest). Hope the above post is useful.

I clear my CC as soon as I purchase on it lately but I never got a R150 back and I opened this account in August.
I think I spend more than 50% on my CC as well.

The up to 55 days is an average thumb-suck. From the date of your statement you normally have around 27 days, I think, to pay up.

Maybe no refund because you clear immediately after purchases and it makes you a 'deadbeat' (if i am getting their terminology correct)?

I get my statement on the 4th of the month. So any swipes after the 4th of november I only have to pay at the end of december etc. Thats how the up to 55 days work.

Yes. Everything.

Only car and house debit orders going off cheque account directly. Otherwise everything gets paid with CC. Swipes, online, account payments.

Yes everything that can possibly be paid with CC, otherwise you don't maximise your eBucks rewards.

My wife and I both have credit cards linked to same account. You can use both. Kids are guests

Do you earn ebucks equally on both credit cards? Have been considering getting an additional CC on my account for my SO to use. Anybody know the rules around this?
