Nice please tell us on which network it is when you are up and running.

Got a call from a tech this afternoon.. or actually missed the call and phoned him back. The number was for the iburst support desk ?!?!?

Anyway.. installation is scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully the signal is good enough to continue with the trial

Checkers vouchers
Any1 with experience using the checkers vouchers from the ebucks shop?
I bought a R1000 voucher. Got the voucher on my app. Paid about R 600 worth of stuff at checkers. I asked whether they place the remaining R400 on a card ( like makro does) but the supervisor said No, I just use the same voucher number again to make another purchase.
Today I tried it, but it declined. Now I was told that I should have gotten a new voucher number???
wtf  I'm not going to let them get away with R400 bucks...
Dunno how useful this is, but here's my experience (with Mr Price):
I bought a Mr Price virtual voucher a few weeks ago. When I got to the till-point and paid with the voucher code, there was 1c (R0.01) change ... their system did not allow the transaction to complete until the cashier issued another voucher to the value of R0.01. The cashier was confused so she called the supervisor, who gave her a voucher card to accumulate the change.
Then the transaction completed.

Do you still have the original slip at least?
I would take it up with said checkers. The person at the till should have loaded the remaining value for you on to a physical voucher. Said supervisor gave you the wrong advice.

Unfortunately, doubt eBucks can help you with this, only the Checkers where you used it can, and should...

^ Not possible or against the T&C's to load the extra to a physical voucher, according to:
This is what it says by purchasing with the voucher

"No change will be paid out if the value of the purchase for which the voucher is used is less than the value of the voucher."
<snip>
Checkers supervisor gave the wrong advice then...

You know what...I think if it wasn't for eBucks, Checkers would be SO bad off.

I mean they are such a sch!t company. The staff doesn't give a damn about service. I've seen how rude they are to children who shop there.

The quality is appalling. The shop feels "cheap" and "low class"

If eBucks moved to PnP or Spar, then Checkers will be faaked.

So I snatched up about 20'000eB from family members who do not really understand or use it.

Bought them about R800 worth of stuff for the trouble.

Reckon it is a massive bargain especially since I am on RL5.

With the next allocation of eB I will be able to buy R15'000 worth of Makro vouchers then.

Going to buy the last essential baby things needed for the new arrival in Feb and then use the rest to spoil the wife. Might also buy myself that compound mitre saw I've been wanting for a while.

Doin' it right ;)

On the speed test that they did from their laptop plugged into ethernet they got 30mbps... guessing my wireless is slowing me down :)

Apparently there's a guy 10 houses down the road from me who got 70mbps when they installed. THAT would be nice but I got a lot of trees around me so not sure if I'll get that.

When I come back I'm going to hook up my external antenna and play.

This is so true.

:erm: This is equivalent to taking money from a child that does not understand the concept of money. Surely you should have at least bought them R2000 worth of stuff?

I hear what you are saying.

But until yesterday my dad did not even know he had 17k eB that has accumulated over the past years.

He gave them all to me for free and said we should buy the kids something nice.

But instead I bought him something he needed at home.

The other 3k was from the wife's account and she knows exactly why I asked her to transfer it. And she is going to be the main benefactor of the Makro vouchers anyway.

Was the transfer process easy to do?

Was the transfer process easy to do?

Very.

Just go to the "Send eBucks" tab on the website. Type in the account number of the recipient and the amount of eB to transfer. Transfers are limited to 5000eB per transaction so might have to do it a few times depending on the amount.

Wait for OTP and hit confirm. Reflects on the other account immediately.

@APoc, ok upon elaboration the move you pulled doesn't sound so bad ;)

Re: Send eBucks, so you can do multiple eB5000 transactions per day? If so, seems pointless to limit to eB5000.
