I just had a cashier try to put my groceries through on budget and it got declined due to insufficient funds. I never use my budget and as such have it set to a hundred rand or something stupid.
Please tell me I wont be penalised!
Even if it was processed without issues, why would you be penalised? If I was in your shoes, and it isn't showing on my CC on the straight, just pay it directed online and make the budget section R0.
You can print them free or charge from your internet banking at the branch. Then they will stamp for you at the branch.
This is valid and does not count against you on ebucks.
ATM depositI've sold some items on Gumtree and would like to place the cash in the bank (if possible). Will I get penalised for depositing and lose and eBucks reward level? What's the easiest way to deposit it with a) not affecting eBucks level and b) keeping the cost low.

Open a tax-free cash deposit account, ATM deposits are free all month long, does not affect your eBucks at all.
There's a 0.7% fee for depositing into a Gold cheque account. Since I can earn 15% back I take the hit.
I deposit into my cheque or bonds ... no fees charged as well.
If you have a bond, try depositing money into it and then move it to your current account via online banking / phone banking
According to the 2016 homeloans pricing guide the following fees are charged on deposits:

I think I have read most of the comments about withdrawals of relatively large amounts of cash.
I have two cheque accounts, linked on online banking, one a platinum (linked to ebucks) and one on gold (not linked to ebucks). I'm wondering if there would be any consequences to my ebucks rewards level if I transfer money from my platinum account to my gold account, walking into the bank and withdrawing the cash from my gold account? So, really, the principle of having another account not linked to ebucks for your in bank withdrawals and deposits?
Thanks
