Tips to Boost your eBucks

I just got a secondary CC for my wife to use on my account seeing as I'm on PC and thus will be earning a lot more ebucks than if she opened an account for herself.

I am getting her to open a smart cheque account however and migrate away from absa in order to get ebucks travel discounts when I book. The smart cheque account is the "lowest" type of account that will qualify her.
Will probably do the same.

Will try again later this week, thanks. Most of the managers seemed to be off duty yesterday, so that might make a difference.

How'd it go? I'm needing to get an online exclusive item too.

It seems to depend on the store. The Silverlakes branch spent about 4 days to figure out how to do it. Eventually they phoned me back to tell me that they now know how: it basically involves me paying in store with the voucher and them then ordering the item. The Centurion branch had no issues - they took my details and promised to place an order for the item; they'll phone me back once they have the item with them. I'll then pay in store at the till as with a normal store purchase.

Currently I'm still waiting for Centurion to phone me to say that the item has arrived.

Sinbad - I lost your post regarding Easypay / CoJ being online purchases, so I can't quote you - but you're saying using Easypay to pay the council covers the below then?

Spend at least R1 000 on your FNB Private Clients Cheque or Credit Card to shop online or swipe internationally

I'm about to lose 4,000 points per month and working out to remain on Level 5.

Yes. Easypay is an online transaction.

Hoping someone went through this before - end result is ebucks related.

Ekhurhuleni germiston recently installed prepaid meters for all our properties, which thus caused a nice budget bubble in December. I thus thought ok - i will earn some ebucks with purchasing the prepaid via FNB's website.

Trying online gave multiple error codes, thus forcing us to go buy larger amounts directly at the municipality - with probably no ebucks earn at all.

I tried multiple call centers now, and nobody seems to understand my requirement where a meter needs to be registered for online.
Private banking from FNB's side is useless as usual - cant give me more help than *please phone the municipality* -FRUSTRATING-

does anybody maybe have a contact which i can try?

@Neo_X, who is the prepaid electricity provider for Ekhurhuleni and are they on the FNB prepaid electricity list (list is on the FNB website IIRC)? If the provider is not on the list then you won't be able to get anywhere with this I reckon.

the municipality is listed as being supported, thus i believe the provider should be ok. Strange part is that we also had issue buying electricity from other providers ( Spar/ garages).
only places working so far - Directly at municipality, and strangely enough one online provider i tried just for luck - prepaid24.

Possible to pay SARS with a CC and earn eBucks?

edit ->

Can I use my credit card to make payments to SARS?
No. SARS will only accept credits from bank accounts

:-(

Guys, I need to get a 3 months bank statement, original bank issued copy. Will going into the branch be considered an 'in-branch' transaction?? I hope not!

You can print them free or charge from your internet banking at the branch. Then they will stamp for you at the branch.

This is valid and does not count against you on ebucks.

+1! It will also not cost your an arm and a leg. I was not aware of this and asked the nice teller lady for a 6 month statement...Cost me nearly R200 for the statement (Pay per page)!!!!

They discounted it when I complained by about 40-50%, Luckily they accepted ignorance as an excuse and softened the blow.

I was really more concerned with dropping a RL... But, this good advice will also save me some cash. Drinks on me :D
