I highlighted at the time that this goes against the CPA and they should be challenged.

There's also nothing preventing anyone from buying a physical gift card to make up the difference.

Please note no change will be given on your Checkers/Shoprite: Virtual Voucher if the value of the purchase for which the voucher is used is less than the value of the voucher.

The way I interpret it is this: You will not get change or voucher for the remaining amount. (Which I can understand because it can be abused) Nothing stops them from loading the change on a gift card (Not a voucher) they can then be certain that the remaining amount will be spent at a Checkers again. Win-win for everyone.

and pay only r55 or do they charge you R55 per card ?

Also these cards are physical cards and not a voucher print out or something

What has changed is that you can now buy more than one R5k voucher per day. Well, you can over the FNB app at least.

You can get either virtual voucher or physical voucher.
Physical voucher is in the form of a gift card and costs R55 for delivery (I think per card).
Virtual voucher costs 40c and comes as an sms.

Its eB550 for the entire delivery based on my experience. I would never pay that amount per card!

My last order was about 12 dischem gift cards of R250 value each.

Edit: the same holds true for when your basket contains gift cards from different vendors. The order mentioned in the example above also included a makro card for 1k in value.

I bought a Checkers voucher last night (came through quickly too) and today I went to the Money Market counter and asked them to load it onto a gift card. They were a bit unsure and went to speak to the manager to find out how. So they loaded it for me, no problem. I'd rather convert it immediately rather than try do it as you pay the first time.
 
I still can't seem to buy airtime via the app or the damn internet banking. :mad:

Oh btw, if I purchase using my cheque card, I will lose the 4000 eBucks points right?
 
Will buying international air tickets online count as an online shopping purchase? At R27000.00, will I earn full rate up to R5000 and only 0.6% for the remainder (R22k).
And if I rather go to a travel agent and swipe, I'll earn more won't I with the R20k earn limit?

Therefore also 0.6% on the amount over the 20k limit. </edit>

If so, sure you will earn +/- eB1000** more by swiping at the travel agent, but then you have to ask yourself, what is your time worth :whistle: :)

edit2: ** Assuming you spent zero on anything else that would have diminished your capacity to earn on the full swipe amount based on the 20k spend limit :D

Yes, it will be far less due to the amount already spent. Same for online shopping limit, I've shopped online already. I'll just do it online, thanks.
 
Anyone know if you can get eBucks if you have an FNB Easy Account?
 
I just got a secondary CC for my wife to use on my account seeing as I'm on PC and thus will be earning a lot more ebucks than if she opened an account for herself.

I am getting her to open a smart cheque account however and migrate away from absa in order to get ebucks travel discounts when I book. The smart cheque account is the "lowest" type of account that will qualify her.
