Why don't you just email [email protected] and ask them to order the item for you and have it delivered to your store of choice. If you are lucky you will be helped by the very reliable Priscilla.

I went this route with an item (FujiFilm XT10) Makro does not even list. They got quotes from the supplier, ordered the item and had it delivered to my branch of choice. There I used a combination of cash and vouchers to pay for the item.

Granted it took a bit longer because they had to order the item and get it loaded on the system for payment but I managed to use my Makro vouchers.

Hmm wonder if they will order a couch for me ,going to email them.

For existing FNB clients who had that before on platinum, if your cheque account balance is above R9000 (that rule changed to R15000 in July), you don't pay any current account fees.

If you never had that option, you must now have R75K in your current account not to pay current account fees.

Has this been cancelled? I've been on this pricing option for years and have never been charged. Suddenly this year I am being charged even though I have 15k in my account

No, still running, as confirmed at the bottom of my statement:

Service Fee

Your account is currently on the Fee Saver pricing option where you pay no monthly fee, receive unlimited qualifying electronic transactions and a limited number of

ATM withdrawals, if you are able to keep a minimum balance of R15,000.00 in your account at all times. Should your balance drop below the required minimum you

will be charged for all transactions performed on your account as well as the monthly account fee at the applicable Pay As You Use pricing option rates. For full

details please visit www.fnb.co.za or your nearest branch for a copy of our latest pricing guide.

Hey guys

Quick question. I upgraded to the Premier for both my cheque and credit card account. Unfortunately, one of the Muppets at FNB stuffed up the upgrade and now I'm sitting with a Premier cheque and a Gold credit account. What are the implications of this for me for ebucks?

Get the muppets at FNB to have both on the same level asap. You will not earn much ebucks while they are different.

Credit card updates usually take longer than cheque upgrades.

Have any of you moved to the "Pay-As-You-Use" price plan which is R40/month on Premier yet?

Since my cheque card/account is only used for Cash-at-Till and a few debit orders (Which are still free on Pay-As-You-Use), I don't see any reason why I should pay R199 for the bundled option.
Am I missing something?

R40 per month or R40 LESS?

Definitely going to try this later today.

Definitely R40/m, was looking at it last night as an option for my wife who only uses an additional credit card linked to my account.

The one thing I noticed was that "internal" debit orders and "external" debit orders are charged at vastly different rates (R3.70 and R16.00 respectively). I couldn't find any clarity on what the difference between the two are, I'm assuming internal is to another FNB bank account while external is another bank completely.

If you have a credit card, and are on platinum, add R11 + R58 + R16.50 to the R40

Personally I think if you are not on the fee saver, the R199 is the best bargain if you have a lot of debit orders.

Problem is the first Muppet rejected my upgrade due to my card being inactive (according to them). Bare in mind they've pre-approved me for a private wealth credit card. I asked that it rather be to Premier. I had an interesting conversation with the next Muppet:

Muppet2: It says you've been rejected due to your card being inactive.
Me: I'm sure you can see on my profile whether that is true or not.
Muppet2: I can see that you regularly use it. I'm not sure why they wrote that...

Well work it out exactly, all the debit orders and other transactions add up quickly.

By my guesstimation, 7 debit orders, one credit card and then you're already paying R190~ or so.
Disclaimer, I haven't looked at the pricing recently...

The internal debit orders you speak of are transfers or scheduled transfers, not debit orders AFAIK.

I use an FNB connect sim, but am confused on how to get the max discount on prepaid airtime. It seems I get 15% in ebucks if I purchase airtime through online banking. I recall getting 40% back at some point. Does this benefit still exist, and how can I get it. I'm on level 5.

You're confusing EARN and DISCOUNTS.

You EARN 15% back in eBucks on prepaid airtime via FNB.
You receive a 40% DISCOUNT when buying airtime via the likes of Makro / eBucks store when USING eBucks to PAY.
