Tips to Boost your eBucks

Anyone know if they can make exceptions for the deposit amount qualifying criteria in the case of freelance/contract/commission workers etc..? I can earn vastly different sums each month, but on average I qualify easily.

I noticed for last month's period I didn't meet the criteria for the PC cheque account deposit amount and I earned a measly 1300-something ebucks where it's normally around 10x that!

I've mailed them about it, but curious if anyone else has managed to wrangle an exception?

Transfer money to friend/SO and transfer it back ,this will make up the difference for you to earn ebucks.

The 10-90 percent utilisation on the gold CC account, how exactly is that calculated? Is is as a average utilisation over the month, calculated on a specific date or you need to stay in the parameters regardless?

lets say for arguments sake i have a 10K limit on my card and need to swipe for 11k, I transfer 11k into the account taking me into a positive balance then swipe, i have fallen out of the 10-90% band going temporarily to a 0% utilisation, do i lose the points for the month. Conversely, if I swipe and use 9.5k of my available account balance that takes me to 95% utilisation.

Aren't we due for new ebucks rules pretty soon too?

Anyone have any insight on this question?

I operate my CC in a similar fashion, by pretty much just topping it up when the balance gets near 15% of the limit. I dont think I have setup a monthly auto payment.

I transferred 10k out of the account to EFT someone, and see that I got charged a R3 fee which is a bit strange

I've never used my CC for Cash@till, thought that's not possible. Always do a second swipe with my Cheque card.

Did you happen to replace a previous Credit card? Is it linked as a primary card or something like that?
I couldn't do Cash@Till until I phoned and asked, they told me that my new card was not set up as a primary card.

Don't think so, I just recall when I wanted to do this 4 years ago the cashier told me can't do cash@till on a CC. I've never tried again since. Will try next time.

Phone and ask first.
You'll get your answer in 5 minutes.

Both my wife and my CC's work at Checkers so that primary story also doesn't make sense.

But these days I often just use the ATM as I can afford the 500 points.

Also then you can carry one card but draw from the other.

Should I use my Cheque Card instead?
If, like me, you never wanna pay or receive one cent (1c) of interest ever, then use the Cheque Card.
I usually complete my shopping transaction with my CC first, then only do I tell the cashier that I wanna do Cash@Till and present the Cheque Card.

Why would a R3 fee for EFT be strange?
It's normal.

The R3 fee was on the CC (I transferred from CC to Cheque, I then made the EFT from my Cheque account which didn't attract any fees).

To my main question though - is my method of keeping my CC account "topped up" by transferring funds from my Cheque account when the balance nears the limit a bad idea, and rather have an autopayment setup that pays balance monthly?

I'm worried about this in terms of eBucks but mostly in terms of attracting interest on the account.

Thanks

There is no easypay code on my municipal account though, so how do I go about paying?

EDIT: The EasyPay code isn't included on statements downloaded from e-Tshwane, but I did find it on the statement delivered to my post box.

You need to phone the municipality and request the easypay number.
They are trying to do away with it but once you have then you are sorted.
