Tips to Boost your eBucks

Well it looks like the ebucks website is down for maintenance tonight, so it might still be finished by tomorrow the 8th.

FNB website has been updated to show the new reward levels, although they haven't yet allocated the actual eBucks just yet.

My reward points don't make sense though. It says I' m not getting points for the following:
- Have an Overdraft Facility of R2 000 or more, a Temporary loan, a Revolving loan or a Personal loan 2000
- Have additional products i.e additional Card, Linked Petro Cards, Smart Device, Savings Pocket with Bank Your Change and a minimum of R500 2000
- Register for inContact , allow us to communicate with you and keep your contact information up to date 500

But I know that I have many of these products/services. They're also the difference between level 4 and level 5, so I'm not very impressed.

Checked now. "21000 pts - Reward level 5". This is as I calculated it would be a few weeks back so I'm satisfied

Happy, kept rl5.
Did anyone get international points without leaving South Africa during October 2014?

So I was rewarded with level 1 after being on level 5 for over 3 years.

There system is messed up if you have your accounts on different levels. I have a platinum cheque account and a private clients credit card. I was awarded no points for credit card activities. Not even for having an auto payment setup.

On the credit card points side, they indicate that I do not qualify as I have insufficient deposits. The problem is that it is looking for a private clients cheque card and not a platinum cheque account. I have sufficient deposits to cover both accounts.

I have put in a second request now to downgrade my credit card to a platinum credit card.

Anyone here with a gold and platinum combination of credit and cheque accounts? I would like to see how they calculated the points.

And I was 500 points short

I did not get points for online purchases using credit card as well as international purchases even though I got 700 eBucks for online shopping but does not specify my qualifying spend.I am confused what qualifies for online purchase now.I purchased from kalhari and takealot locally and had debit through paypal for all my international purchases.
Did anyone get these points and what purchases were allowed.
I earned short of 10000 eBucks after spending all my eBucks last month. How much you guys earned first month.Curious Haha

27k again. Thanks for this thread, it's been really worthwhile

I also see I got more points for debit orders going off from account which I thought will get for 1-6 but got 1000 points for more than 6.
I think they now included the debit orders going off my credit card too and removed it from qualifying spend.I strongly feel so.

One thing to keep in in mind is the reduced interest rate you pay on the card, I went from level 5 platinum to level 1 in private, but have worked my way up to level 3 In private

Do you have different colour cards?

Different colours cards seem to be bad for ebucks yes. That's the only thing I actually did do when the new rules came out. They showed that my gold credit and platinum cheque would be far worse than what I was used to, so I upgraded and it seems to have been the right choice.

Yeah, my gold credit card does not qualify - it says insufficient deposit. My platinum cheque card qualifies because of my salary deposit. So essentially I lost 14 000 points for having the wrong color despite paying the initial link fee for credit card. Guess I must change one of them... Double darn.

EDIT: which precious metal you switched to?
