Tips to Boost your eBucks

Yeah, my gold credit card does not qualify - it says insufficient deposit. My platinum cheque card qualifies because of my salary deposit. So essentially I lost 14 000 points for having the wrong color despite paying the initial link fee for credit card. Guess I must change one of them... Double darn.

EDIT: which precious metal you switched to?

Decided to try Platinum and started pushing all fuel and as much day-to-day through my card instead of sharing it between me and my wife. This keeps it busy and gathers more ebucks as we go along. The fuel means once a week I need to take my wife's car for fill-up, but that's fairly easy to do.

OK shot, will probably go the same route.

Being on two different coloured cards seems to put you at an extreme disadvantage. I don't think they really did enough scenario planning to see the impact it will have on clients.

On plat cheque card and PC credit card. On my profile it says that I have been preapproved for a PC cheque account but when I go through all the steps, at the the end my application gets declined. This after having my cheque account upgraded a year ago to pirate clients but downgraded a week later as I would not get to level 5 then.

Finally updated seems i am on level 5 :)

Spend on international purchases using your Platinum Cheque or Credit Card (excl. cash transactions) : These points i did not get , bought quite a few goods online with dollars etc.

Ive dropped two levels incorrectly. And my earn for the past past 30 days has been based on L3 vs L5
Most frustrating that they cant event get there system to do the calculations correctly and i have to fight with them about it now.

Level 5, and my earn seems correct from what I can tell. But I was on level 5 last month, and level 5 this month. Although my credit card was level 3 last month. That said, even though the spend was on the credit card, the earn shows everything against my platinum card, probably because it is now combined.

Oh wait, the values are correct under the earn section, but seems completely different on the transactions.

Fek. I "zeroed" out my eBucks the other day to enter that competition and now I see I actually had 0.20eB left in my account. I didn't even know fractional eBucks was possible.

FNB! I call shenanigans!

On fractional ebucks, I couldn't get rid of mine so I mailed info@ebucks to ask how to do so. I got a reply stating that your balance only needs to go below eB10. I replied that this isn't stated anywhere in T&C and now await a response. If that is the case it really should be written somewhere.

Congrats how many eBucks you managed this month? What about intl and local online purchases

They missed my smart device and using between 10-90% of my credit limit.

Damn I shouldn't have given my wife those last 2 ebucks.

Thanks :)

Less than usual, was just over 6000 ebucks, so R600 worth. My spend last month however was also less, because I dumped money into a fixed deposit.

Should have done the global account, that gives far more ebuck points, but that said, I did reach 20 000 points, so it seems I have some leeway.

I used to be on level 1 with a booster product (bond).

Seems like now I am just on level 1. But I didn't get points for "Do all your payments and transfers during the month via our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch" which I should've. That would've put me in level 2.

Only way to move up further is get a credit card which I don't really want...

I am so pissed that they got my calculations wrong, was supposed to use my ebucks online his weekend.

Surely a mango ticket online should qualify as an online purchase.

I have a savings with bank your change, I have 2 additional cards.

I have never done a branch transaction in like 5 yrs.

I have never went over my credit card limit or been in areas

I said if this doesn't work out I am moving to Capitec and pay lower bank charges.

I think I will follow up and give them a week.

I heard that if you're on Gold you should wait until this evening and then check again

Having a similar issue on this side... Sitting at 14000 points

Never been in arrears, have an investment account, and the average monthly spend is definitely above the 1000 point bracket (>R5000 IOW) so it should work out to exactly 19,000 and qualify for level 5 with some left over.

EDIT: At least I can confirm that spending only on your straight still qualifies for the "use between 10% and 90% of your credit limit, calculated through both straight and budget" rule.
