Tips to Boost your eBucks

Just received an email from my private banker that my eBucks for Oct and November will be manually adjusted. My average earn was eb25000 per month so expecting about 50k in eBucks soon. My December eBucks came in at just under 29k

Are you saying if you had changed pre-Oct'14 you would have then welcomed PW rules being applied to your situation?

Welcome? no, not for tougher hoops to jump through, but I would have modified behaviour to hit 19K. I would have had far less Reward Level Points fat/buffer that I have with Platinum now.

and here I sit with between 4000 and 7000 earn per month ;'( o.O

Just noticed the following on their pricing guide which is still on the website :

Should you meet the qualifying criteria, you could qualify for a monthly R50.00 discount on your new
smartphone or tablet offering

Either they haven't updated their pricing guide or we should still be able to get it. Now...which smart device that they have is the best deal?

yep, some definite big hitters here :-)
Been averaging 15K eBucks per month, helps a span with the 40% discount - thank you FNB :-)

WOW... I just got a massive injection in EBUCKS

12 Jan | FNB PW EBUCKS REWARDS MANUAL ALLOCATION | 22 166

On the 8th of Jan I got my usual items which added up to around 9k, which I think is normal...

Hope this isn't a mistake :-) Cos thats actually money!

My adjustment just got reversed out :(

The sad trend for my own queries is that they seems to ALWAYS misunderstand, regardless of how specific I am in my queries, and I have begun to wonder if this is not done deliberately. They seemed to understand very clearly after the repeated "misunderstanding" led to a HelloPeter complaint, though ... so you can maybe see where the conspiracy theory comes from

And I finally got a reply from FNB ([email protected])
They said "eBucks has confirmed that the reason you have not earn reward level points for using between 10% and 90% of your credit limit during the calendar month, is because you used more than 90% of your credit limit."

I guess it was just an excuse or just didn't investigate whatsoever.

I've send them this: (Awaiting to hear from them now)
I don't believe it. Can you please prove that how I got over 90%?

this calendar month and your billing cycle make it really difficult to reconcile, can we get FNB to change our billing cycle to match the ebucks cycle??

I have the same issue

You can change your billing cycle online.
Correct, i just checked now, you can choose your payment date online... and to think I have been hassling my poor premier banker to action this whilst awaiting feedback from the eBucks team.

Irritating thing is your payment date determines your cycle. From prior experience, the payment date can be a day later (from time to time) which then impacts the cycle!

Which dates are the Ebucks cycle period
Appears to be 1st to the last day of month. i.e. A calendar month.

Prior to 1 October 2014 it was based on your credit card and cheque account statements / billing cycles.

Click on 'My Bank Accounts', click on the name of your credit card in the left column, click on 'Modify autopayment' on the right hand side, halfway down the screen.

Still waiting on an official answer from eBucks team, but eBucks calcs would appear to be based on a Calendar month and not something you can change at an individual level.

It says I'm not qualified to get rewards due to Have sufficient monthly deposits

Websites says : Platinum, Encore and Islamic Cheque Accounts - R16 500

I transferred 17k across to my Cheque Account on the 5th of Jan. Will this "Not qualified message" only disappear next month or do I need to query now?
