Tips to Boost your eBucks

Hi guys, Is it not possible to buy a Checkers voucher in store with eBucks and qualify for the rewards level discount there? Do you have to buy from the online shop and pay for delivery fees of the physical voucher? Is there no way to recharge a voucher (with the discount level?)
Even if that was possible... regardless, it's the 2nd worst way to spend your eBucks (i.e. buying Checkers vouchers with eBucks). The worst way is to use your eBucks instore with no discount applied.

Indeed it won't.

I also noticed when I do go shopping with a makro voucher ,the do give you the rest of the money back in cash from what is left on the voucher.

I wonder if I would go buy a R5 chocolate with a R1000 voucher if they would give be R995 back in cash:P

There is an "Unknown" limit. I have had cash for small amounts, but was given a Gift Card for a big amount. I now get all "refunds" put on the gift card.

Which point are you referring to? You wish to request a way to spend your eBucks which is not an optimal way to spend eBucks?

I think the part about the eBucks shop also selling virtual gift vouchers for Checkers instead of only the physical gift cards.

Sure, it would be great if all the eBucks discount partners offered the SMS voucher option. It's a pain having to order, pay and wait for delivery of a physical card!

This point, yeah. Raised with RBJacobs :). Btw, what is the best way then to spend your eBucks?

R50 at Makro. They can't load a card with less than R50, so they give you cash. R50 and more will be loaded on a gift card.

Depends. I spend most of mine on 40 percent discount Makro vouchers, either for household stuff or nice to haves.

The high level answer is to avoid spending your eBUcks on gift cards at any partner you already derive significant discounts when not using your eBUcks.

So this will also depend on what other loyalty programmes you are on, such as Discovery Vitality for example. E.G. If on Vitality and if you have their SK card, don't buy SK movie tickets with eBucks.

e.g. Don't buy Checkers gift cards, as you already derive an up to 15% back in eBucks benefit.

Etc...

The specifics are going to depend on your personal situation and your spending behaviour / ability across the board.

Makro and Flight tickets are the best ways to spend ebucks.

The store itself is overpriced.

Well, if on Diamond Vitality status I would opt for using that benefit (35% off) instead of spending eBucks on flights / travel.

Yes , but eBucks are limited. Why spend your eBucks on something that you can ordinarily get 35% off on by using rands and your Discovery Vitality status?
Or you can look at it this way. Why pay cash when you can get something for "free".

I think his point was that you can get 35% off and then more goods with eBucks and their 40% discount at shops where Vitality won't help, but this assumes that you want to buy something else that you would otherwise have to pay cash for after you spent all your eBucks on flights.

You only have to spend R500 worth of eBucks on flights to get the 40% discount. You can pay the remainder of the ticket in rands and your rand portion will also be discounted
