Can't. Know too much that shouldn't be out, so have to be careful what I share.

Ok, fair enough. Shoud we be worried by the new rules though? Say I don't have a bond or personal loan from FNB and only use credit card for emergencies.

That would also depend on what level you are currently. If you're on a low level then nothing to lose.

If you have both a cheque account and a credit card that are aligned (same type, eg Platinum) then you probably don't have to worry too much. Bond, personal loan etc will help you get points monthly, but you can get points on other behaviour.

Low level, but capable of reaching five with current rules.

Advantage of the new rules would be you getting to level 5 instantly should you meet the criteria, rather than waiting a few months as your 12 month rolling total increases to level 5.

@sjm, if I am level 5 on credit card (platinum) and level 2 on cheque account (platinum) would i have any issues staying on level 5 come October?

Thanks so much for the response. Highly appreciated.

So when do the masses(raised hand) become aware of the new changes - start, mid , end of AUG14?

Thanks. Do I get the discount through credit card on all 4 devices?
Naw only for 1 as far as I can tell. I used to have 1 device, got R50 discount. Then got a 2nd later, still get R50 discount. So the discount is probably only valid for the 1st device if you qualify for the discount.

Theoretically, you shouldn't have any issues. Depends on your behaviour on the two products, but as you've probably figured out by now based on what iDOL and others are saying, your level will be across the products, not a different level per product. This means that both credit card and cheque behaviour will contribute to your ultimate level.

Hmm, I foresee problems. I'm level 5 on my platinum cheque account and level 1 on my private clients credit card.

Will they make me a level 2 and a half?
