What do they change you to? Bundled at R199 p.m.?
You are put on the Smart pricing plan or something. It is mostly similar to the unlimited plan, but you have to go to that from whatever plan you were on.

That said, I received feedback, that the reason is when I signed up, I was on the Graduate portfolio account. So it sounds like I am not on the traditional Platinum account currently, and that if I do ask them to change me over, my interest rates ect will change. Will have to figure out how my cost and interest rates currently differ from the standard platinum plan and see which way forward is best.

My cheque account works out to:
145 service fee
3.30 service fees
9.70 value added service fee

Credit:
53 account fee
10 credit facility fee

Works out to 221 a month, bit more than R199 you mentioned.

Wow Sinbad, is from being on level 5 PC and spending a lot at the various high rewards options?

I can't see the breakdown yet. Level 5 PC. 5k from smart devices (that's the max)
Spent R4k on fuel.
Not sure what the rest are.

I'm pretty freakin' happy. That's a LOT of money back. And if I convert to vouchers at 40% discount, that's even more money back!

@40% thats R4850 back. top stuff

Anyone have any idea how I can be on reward level 5 but all of a sudden I don't qualify for 40% discount?

I have a Plat cheque and a PC CC?

Should I align these two and if so should I make them both PC or Platinum?

Did you meet the minimum deposit limit last month?

Argh, that's it. I get paid from Europe on the 25th of the month and this month it only cleared on the 1st Oct. Last pay before that was 28th August so according to them, I 'never' received a salary in September :erm:

Stoopid.

So does anyone know if there's a way to check your where you are during the month? i.e. what boxes have been ticked?
Don't want to wait to next month and realise I missed something

I've done a calculation now based on realistic behaviour....
I was on the verge of RL4 on the old rules (only 1 more month with no ATM withdrawals would have taken me to RL4) but now, with the same behaviour, I'm gonna be on RL2 :( MegaBummer
RL3 used to earn me around eB1500 a month with the decent return on normal cheque card swipes. Now, with the drastic reduction in cheque card returns, I expect to regularly score less than eB500!!

And there's no way I can make RL4 without making big changes to how I bank.
FNB, you guys officially suck b@ll$

The idea is to change how you bank. That's the point. Why do you expect rewards for not doing it the way they want you to do it?

You have to wait for anytime between the 1st of the month to the 8th. Things refreshed for me on the 6th I think. Not sure why in this day and age they can't have a realtime system going :/

The extent to which I would need to change is the issue I have.
Up til now I've banked almost exactly the way they wanted me to, which is how I got to the verge of RL4, but then they change it so drastically that my eBucks reward (for banking the way they taught me to) will drop to less than one third of what it was before.

Would like this also. It still shows my status based on old rules. Would be nice to know if i am still ticking boxes based on the new rules.

I am confused. Do I now need to transact more on my credit card, and less on my cheque card?

if you swipe for it is .
telkom bill can also be paid online for the 4% ebucks back.
It's only worth the effort if it's gonna qualify as Checkers spend and not a normal swipe.
Otherwise the convenience of a debit order outweighs the R9 I'll earn in eBucks.

Online is an option, but only if I sign up for a credit card.
I'll earn up to R18 for online Telkom payments, but the monthly fee for a credit card is a fair bit more than that.
Credit card fees =
R25 (card fee)
+ R7.50 (credit facility fee)
+ R200/12 (linking fee for eBucks)
= roughly R50/month, or eB500

So I'll need to prove (to myself) that I can earn at least an extra eB500/month to go through the trouble, cos I really have no need whatsoever for a credit card.

...like I mentioned before, this is the FNB eBucks model trying to make me bank in a drastically different way, after me having already complied with their previous guidance on how to bank
