We are talking FNB here. NO CHARGE FOR CREDIT CARD FUEL PURCHASE. Been like that for two years at least.(Actually I think from the 2010 World Cup, would have confused tourists)

Don't you think I would notice an interest charge, I pay in full every month, and would challange a one cent extra charge.


And, yes, I know the blurb on the statement says you will be charged, but you are not.

If you do not believe me, buy R100 worth of fuel on your CC to test.

Even if FNB did charge interest (which they do not) 15% discount in EBucks would more than compensate.
 
Has anybody received their eBucks rewards for this month?
I usually get get my card rewards on the 12th of every month, but nothing as yet for this month.

Received mine a week early this month. Normally the 18th, this month the 11th!
 
Recieved mine a week late this month, normally get them the 8th and got them today.

Your card rewards will now be allocated at the same time as your other rewards from FNB (first week of the month, rather than after card statement date as previously done). You'll receive the remainder of September's allocation some time this month, then October's allocation will be at the same time as your cheque allocation in early November
 
Thanks for the info guys. Seems like I need to log a call then, got my Makro & Dischem rewards on the 7th already but nothing else.
 
A tad off topic but FNB related.

Do we still get the R50 or R100 smart device discounts per month for meeting certain criteria?

This just confirms that this changeover of the rules are causing mass confusion. I've had 3 different points awarded since beginning of October. Started with 1 976 points and now also down to just tiny Makro points awarded. I called eBucks an dthey said no points are being awarded this month, thus 2 months points will be awarded ( Sept. & Oct. ) at beginning of November.

Just wondering what's going on right now.

@sjm (or anyone that knows 100%): Can you confirm what the business rules are relating to:

(1) the time period of transactions taken into account for eBucks?
e.g. Is it a calendar month? Is it related to your billing period? Is it somehow spread amongst customers over some period of time (a week?) to balance the calculation load?

(2) the timing of the allocation of eBucks?
e.g. Is it the first of the month? Could it be multiple times during the course of a month? Possibly one of the other examples in point (1)?

I just called them. Apparently their has been a major stuff up with CC allocations and they have to do it manually. Now we wait.

On the 9th for me. Other than not filling up petrol (due to a miscalculation because i was vrek busy) before end of last cycle to take advantage of the fuel "discount" I have no major complaints. Just irritated at myself on the fuel thing. Essentially wasted R200 discount off the last tank of petrol :(.
 
By the way guys, just a reminder. The rules for access to Slow Lounge have changed. It is no longer 6 off peak visit like before on Platinum. Its only 2 . I only found out when flying with Family to CT earlier this month.

Am not 100% sure of the new rules
 
What do you think are the best deals to spend your ebucks on? I see they have a competition to win a million ebucks if your balance is zero.

I think the Makro deal is quite good as you can get up to 40% off on the vouchers.
