Well I changed my credit card payment to be manual. I see no point in having no control over when the payment goes off.
Don't you get points for having a DO to pay your card?

Yip.
I don't think the card payment thing is automatic - isn't it only if you don't make a manual payment that it activates?

EDIT: If you select "minimum amount due", and pay that amount or more before the due date, then I don't think the autopayment activates.

I get the points, but I always do a manual payment before the DO date. Pretty sure I have the DO set up for minimum payment on last day of the month, but i pay a big chunk on the 21st so they never take it.

Same here; I do my payment in full on or before the due date. I have noticed that the auto payment (full payment in my case) only goes off about 1 or 2 days after the due date but is dated as per the due date so that penalties aren't applied.

I do mine manually ,but I do have an auto payment setup to get the ebucks points and the R50 back on my smart device.

The auto payment never takes money out of my cheque account ,because I do it manually before the due date.

As a side note, does this rebate still apply if you take out a new smart device contract? I have had a smart device since Jan 2013 and it's about to be paid up. Was thinking of getting a new one purely for the ebucks points, but couldn't find any info regarding the R50 rebate.

I just applied for another smart device, and was told the rebate was still valid.
Will confirm at the end of this month I suppose.

Interesting about this rebate which I don't see them paying me R50 etc Is it suppose to be paid directly to your Cheque Account?

Wow that is a lot. Yes I have a credit card. I also don't any forms of payment. Maybe it's paid in ebucks?

I also noticed that I am not getting the R50 back anymore. It probably changed with the ebucks changes 1st Oct 2014.

Technically they did notify us of all the ebucks changes happening 1st Oct 2014. Must however say, I didn't see that change in there.

Would have thought they would honour the full duration of the smart device repayment period. Their T&Cs probably lets them change conditions at a whim...
