Just make sure they don't charge your card to the Convenience Store thing at the garages.

Use your eBucks to fill up at participating Engens & you could win FREE FUEL for a year! Valid until 31 Aug'15. Ts&Cs apply. Visit eBucks online. FNB, a Div. of FRB Ltd
Tempting to enter the comp, but effectively losing 91c in value for every Rand of petrol filled up using eBucks in this way :erm: Maybe just fill up eB100 worth? :p

This is my guaranteed monthly expenses...

I still have some big appliances to buy, but once those are bought; do you guys really think that it's worth it to get a platinum card? - given the amount of points that I will be getting back.
This places me in RL 4 I see.
What are we looking at here? You have two images in there and the one says you are RL1...

I tried to edit the post to remove the one pic but I only saw a tag for 1 pic so I'm not sure Wtf happened there.

Anyway, using the ebucks calculator I can get eB123 based on my guaranteed monthly spend. Forget about my stupid RL4 comment.

So my question, should I bother with getting a platinum cheque and credit card if that is my monthly expense?

on reward level 1, earn is really really low. see if you can get to level 4 or preferably 5 on either gold or platinum. a massive jump between level 4/5.

Stick it out on Gold and aim for L5...

^ Yes, what Mike said. You aren't spending nearly enough to capitalise on Platinum.

Really hate they they are now capping the maximum spend you are able to earn ebucks at checkers to R800 :(
That is where most of my ebucks comes from.
R800 on Gold?

Huh? That's not true.

Gold:
"Checkers & Shoprite spend limits and rules
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Gold Cheque and Credit Card spend or a total rand spend (on Checkers & Shoprite purchases only) of R7 000 per month, whichever occurs first."

So how much do you guys usually spend per month then?

Checkers :
Total eBucks earned: eB3 859
Qualifying spend: R2 572.60

Fuel&Gautrain:
Total eBucks earned: eB1 229
Qualifying spend: R819.51

Prepaid Airtime :
Total eBucks earned: eB863
Total Spend: R575.00

Shopping Credit card:
Total eBucks earned: eB989
Qualifying spend: R3 955.04

Shopping Online Credit Card:
Total eBucks earned: eB3 750
Qualifying spend: R7 500.00

so it looks like about R15,000 spend and EB10,700 earn (40% voucher value : R1783). this is on Private Clients

Shst, I'm nowhere near that in terms of spend. Does it really cost that much for you guys to pull through a month??? I get away with 3k max and live very comfortable on it.
This includes all expenses besides car and house.

3k :wtf:

thats quite low :erm:

in my case though, online shopping is mostly investments(doing a credit card transfer through EasyEquities), Internet (Axxess), and taxes + W&L for a rental property paid through easypay.
