Tips to Boost your eBucks

I saw that I can upgrade my CC and Cheque to Platinum.
Should I do it?
I chose not to, cos I don't think I'd use any of the additional perks.
Plus the fees are alot higher and since my eBucks earn is predominantly from Checkers and Fuel, Platinum won't earn me significantly more eBucks to cover the higher fees

Platinum doesnt have an earn cap on Checkers spending like Gold does if im not mistaken.

I have a TFSA account (but not a fixed deposit) but as a "share saver" account. You are correct for the 30K limit per year.

According to me, this type of account doesn't earn any eB points at all.

To qualify for eB points, it need to be share investor or share builder (And min R10K if I am not mistaken)

I asked my banker as follows (this is for a PW account):
According to the online ebucks calculator I can earn 1000 rewards points if I have an Investment Account of R50 000 or more, I want to know if a Tax Free Savings share account counts towards this R50000 or not.

This was his answer:
With regards to the investment, you can open a Tax Free Investment account and you will receive the same eBucks as any other investment account.

Will report back soon if I got the points this month.

Fair point if that's true.
@jamacouve : The only way to know for sure is to go through the exercise of comparing your as-is situation to what it will be if you were on Platinum and see if you're gonna score (both in terms of the inherent benefits of Platinum, as well as any additional eBucks benefits).
I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for but it's the only way to really know whether you're gonna score, or just waste money.

I phoned eBucks, they transferred me to FNB Investments, yes, TFSA (Shares) counts.

This may have been answered already (probably has), but do you still get points for having a smart device on platinum with the new rules?

Your eBucks earned are on their way and will all be allocated by around the 12th of August, then you'll see the total amount of eBucks you've earned.
Last month's fuel earn is currently unavailable. Please come back soon to view your updated earn details.
As of 1 July 2015, Gold accounts no longer earn eBucks on prepaid electricity.\

I Logged in on ebucks.com and that message showed under my ebucks :(

I want my ebucks now!!

What was posted recently is that if you are currently on a smart device contract then you will get the points for the remainder of the contract. Not so if you get one now.

Waiting for the website to update to confirm that though.

Anyone receive their ebucks yet? I usually get mine around the 7th or 8th and it still hasn't come through. Weird.

Generally by the 10th. All in by the 12th.

My Takealot and dischem points are in. Waiting for Checkers, Fuel and international spend.
