Remember there is a fee charge if you use VISA, if you don't have the option for endless transactions with only one fee

You still can't refuse as per VISA rules.
You also can't charge someone more for using a credit card
(but you can give a cash discount)

Yeah I was lucky, to have gotten my couches from Tafelberg last year when you could still those with 40% discount.
I procrastinated myself out of the Tafelberg couches unfortunately. And after that the vouchers ended :(

All I am trying to say, if you do an EFT from your CC it isn't wise, as it is seen as cash, and that will cost you money.

Topping that, you can ask to swipe your CC, asking if there would be more charges, to earn more eB at the end of the day

Don't know about premier but in PC you will earn at0.6% after R25000 unlimited
Yes, my calculation of R1000 back was assuming Premier is 0.6% after 20k spend and 4% under 20k spend. In all likelihood Imran is already spending 10k plus on his ccard hence even less of his card swipe for the car will be at 4%.

There's no point in insisting on swiping such a large amount is there? The cost eventually and indirectly gets passed on to the consumer.

Thanks guys, have just ended up doing an eft. Bought plane tickets and other stuff this month, so my earnings should be good anyway

Just found a new way to get 15% back. Dunno if it's been mentioned

Google play store purchases - gave me an option to pay using my Telkom mobile account.
Buy airtime to the value of the app I was buying, 15% back... Buy app off prepaid balance :D

Or you can get 40% off by buying airtime with ebucks
Pity I'm on telkom mobile postpaid but I think I'll move in October back to prepaid to take advantage of this

Do the new rules on discount thresholds affects Emirates flights discounts as well?
IOW - do I need to book my flight before Monday?

Is getting a Private Client Credit Card for double ebucks on swipes, worth it? Or can I get the same amount of ebucks and boost myself to level 5 within a year with just normal "tips" (bits and bobs I see here)?

Are you earning enough such that you'll have the required incoming deposits?
Do you spend enough each month to get enough eBucks back to actually justify for the higher account fees (R350 per month).

If yes to both the above, go for it.

If you have a private clients cheque account then getting a matching credit card and using it for all swipes gives the maximum return

FNB's Sunday maintenance is getting way too regular now, and for way too many hours in the evening.

Agreed!! 7pm it kicked in tonight while I was online. Suddenly can't add beneficiary! Tried via app as well, no go. Ticking me off!

If you have BOTH a Platinum Cheque Account and Platinum Credit Card and are on reward level 1 or above, you will
receive 2 FREE visits including guests for the month which
can only be used to access the SLOW Domestic Lounges.
No guests are allowed during peak periods.

So does that mean exactly? A guest is transparently included in the two visits or can I have a guest (any number of guests it almost seems) per visit?

I'm travelling with my mother on Friday, but flying back alone a week later. Is that then 2 visits or 3?

Is it 4 visits allowed if during off-peak? If you're travelling off-peak, to answer your question, that would be seen as 3 visits.

I see FNB's website is full of glitches this morning. Endless errors. Accounts showing R0. Cant EFT people ... and the list goes on and on !
