Thanks

Great news. Another way to earn points and stay on level.5

Okay, so a word of warning. Don't buy YuppieChef vouchers from eBucks shop if you're in a hurry to buy from YuppieChef.

I bought a voucher on Tuesday afternoon and I'm still waiting for the voucher code. The whole day yesterday on and off, I was chasing either eBucks or YC trying to get my code. No-one could help. It's a very manual process from what I'm told. I order from eBucks. eBucks manually requests the code from YC. YC has to manually generate a code and supply it to eBucks. eBucks then sends it on to me. Apparently, 48 hours is needed for this.

In the mean time, I bought the voucher for a Mother's Day gift and YC have a 2 day shipping policy, so it's now too late to order from YC to get the gift in time.

Give her the voucher :)

Counts as online transaction so double the ebucks of a regular swipe.

Interesting.. so where there is SnapScan/Zapper available.. we need to use it. hah.. Guess their stats peeps didn't notice it yet :p

I Tripple Dip/swipe

Bp & get your avios card (Combo with FNB CC (eBucks) and Vitality Dive card).

I forgot about that! I also swiped Avios card...Not that it did any good...Would have to keep swiping for YEARS to earn a one way flight to CT....But it was points earned....

You don't need to use a gift card in one go! Keep using it until it's finished.

I don't think this is right. He's talking about Checkers vouchers, and it explicitly says in the terms and conditions that if you don't use it in one go, you lose the balance (which really should be illegal).

This is from the T&C's on the Ebucks Shop website:

No change will be given if the value of the purchase for which the voucher is used is less than the value of the voucher.

Are you talking SMS vouchers or physical gift cards?

I know I've had physical gift cards bought from eBucks for Checkers and the remainder stays on the card. I've not done SMS vouchers for Checkers though.

True for virtual vouchers.

However, if you order the physical vouchers (gift cards) they can be used and used and used and used :-P

If you buy a virtual voucher and then put the left over on a gift card then you could also use the value over multiple purchases (virtual first, gift card later).

I think someone confirmed on the thread a while back that there are no issues putting the left over value onto a gift card at the Checkers counter when you pay for your stuff

I used to go the gift card route, but love the quicker arrival of the virtual (SMS) voucher...and the much lower delivery fee...

Ah, okay. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, referring to the virtual vouchers. It would make sense that you can transfer it to a physical card, like at Makro. Just seemed absurd that you had to use it all in one go.

Absolutely, but when I last bought a Checkers voucher it was before the virtual one was available. I've since learned there's better ways to get discounts on eBucks that Checkers vouchers though ;)

THis is true, but I love them for when we decide on an impromptu braai or family feast close to bare cracker time of the month..

I have a Gold cheque and credit card, should I still be charged this rewards fee? They are linked for ebucks but as far as I know this link is now free?

It's been credited.
Debited on 16/04
credited on 22/04 (rvs = reverse)
Ya, I've seen that too and queried it with FNB the first month I had a CC.
It's a stupid system in my personal opinion.
I just have this suspicion they are gonna forget to credit me someday when I'm not looking.
