Hey guys

Anyone experienced disconnect on engaging bosses in Trial of the Crusader last night. Many guilds on my server Hellscream were complaining about disconnects in General chat all night last night.

I posted this exact problem on the support forums this morning.

I am suffering from chain DC's on the TOC - Beasts of Northrend encounter.
Only once Icehowl is dead, am I able to log back in.

I have pretty much tried everything... nothing helps. It has to be the encounter. On the Lord Jaraxxas (ignore spelling) encounter my pc goes slower, but it seems to cling to the connection without dc'ing me.

If you google it you will find there are loads of people suffering from it.

The biggest culprits in DC's are TOC - beasts of northrend + Thorim encounter when you enter the arena.

**edit - I see someone bumped my post on the WoW support forums... I assume its you diegoa, since you mentioned myadsl forums there :)

/smarts I have the same problem and depending on the boss, I cant log back in on that toon untill the boss is dead or its a wipe /smarts

Only this week, or last week as well.
We only going on sunday nite again, we had no probs last sunday and there are 4 saffers in the raid, and we did get them all (10 man)

Yea the 10 mans are not as bad as the 25 man versions... 25 man is a guaranteed DC for me every week.

Out of interrest sake diego.. What is your pc's hardware spec's.

I am just comparing stuff, and a fellow guildy of mine also from SA on the same network doesnt suffer from DC's on that encounter.

I seems to me like CPU backlog... its not keeping up with the amount of data being processed or something. Disabling all the combat logs + switching off addons, makes it slightly better... but not enough.

if your gonna blame the hardware might as well say what screen card your running

I dont think its screencard related... well definately not in my case.
First sign of a struggling screencard is bad FPS.

I am playing on Gorgonnash (German server)...just had to leave the 25 man raid because of constant dc's... not one other person there had the same problems. Latencies went up to 2000ms.
I logged in now on my twink, standing in Dalaran...latency close to 600ms.
4Mb line, unshaped...

Didn't Blizz say that they cant add any new Instance Servers? That could be a prob.

Btw. Tom242 wo wohnst du?^^

Executus EU Horde

Had massive lag during the Beasts of Northrend, but other than that I was OK. Using Do Broadband option 3, and my latency sat at around 650+. Really think it's something to do with the coding, because even the europeans in my guild were experiencing lag at that point.

You mean the europeans viewed lots of lag from the latency bar or from what they witness from spellcasting, cause I noticed your spells cast can take forever and looting takes forever even though your latency is ok or you just get plain old latency bar showing lag? They not the same thing. There is both client and server lag.

logged a complaint with my ISP...to have my line checked. Did that before a couple of times, and whatever telkom did in the past it helped (at least for a month or 2).

Got feedback today, apparently telkom stated that i live 5km's away from the exchange, and that would cause my problems. however, they closed the line fault complaint....

....and I tested today playing WoW, I dont' even dare going for a raid, had in daily hc already 1200ms latency

edit: at this stage i don't know what to believe or think about these issues. Is it really a telkom, or ISP, problem? Is it a problem with Blizz's servers? But then, why was i the only one in the raid to experience this?

It's definitely an issue in the Beasts of Northrend encounter.
I was doing some tests in 25 man last night.
The first boss is the one that causes all the issues:

The fight starts and everything seems normal.
Then a bit of latency kicks in and seems to get worse and worse until you DC, the thing is I was DC'ing every time as soon as he casted the first "stomp" or whatever it is called.
Once he is dead and phase 2 begins I can log in again and carry on, and the rest of the encounters are fine.
A few of my guildies were also having the same issue last night, and I am the only saffer.

10-mans are ok, I dont disconnect from any bosses, but im 95% guarenteed to disconnect at entering thorim 25-man and the start of beats of northerend 25-man.

I am currently having huge problems raiding on MTNBusiness\Verizon last night, loads of packet loss on their network raid time last night which caused instant disconnect and huge latency from the packet loss.
