Btw what router do you have? Everyone who is dcing please list your router
 
Naahh its not the router either thats causing the DC.
Its sync'ing of client --> server data. The people affected the worst by it is people with high latencies under severe burst scenarios eg. heavy AOE'ing and two specific encounters of which blizzard acknowledged Thorim encounter as one of them which they will have fixed by next patch.

My router I am using is a netgear 834GT 108Mbs.
 
Well my latency was more or less the same at my house and my sisters house, people in Europe with 20mb connections and 20ms latencies are getting DCéd the same as people in Africa with 512k connections and 800ms.

It has to be a combination of bad programming and specific router / dslam settings.
 
Yes, this is where my troubleshooting also pointed me to from my previous posts. Its junky addons people are using in wow. And its spamming your client with data requests mid raid... add some AOE and tons of recount syncing, dbm syncs, ora2 syncs, Omen sync with multi-mob threat table comparison / sync's, gearchecker which mr n00b is running sync's every second a few requests to you asking you what gear you have, Carbonite addon written by Satan himself also hammers your client requesting data from you wheter you have it installed or not... You end up in high burst scenarios overfilling your buffer space with data bursts and mr server kicks you off.

The person running the ***** addons doesnt even have to be in the raid... he only needs to be in your guild in order for it to spam you with data.

As I mentioned in my earlier posts... not all addons are written with proper chatlib throttle support. And this is where it gets bad...

Now its less obvious to Overseas people on nice connections since they sync a lot faster between clients, but for us, the server drops the weakest connection. They still drop, but not as aggressively as us Saffers.

the question still remains, why did I not get dc by my sisters place? a slower connection, same latency, raiding with the same people, running the same addons?
 
just need to find an addon now to temporarily ignore people with spammy addons :P

Or get them to disable them =/
