Everyone who contracts HIV and doesn't take ARVs is going to develop AIDS, pick up secondary infections, and die as a result of those regardless of their state of mind.

However the time-frame of this eventuality could be affected by state of mind and beliefs, as in, how long a person can be HIV+ before developing AIDS could be affected by state of mind and beliefs...
